United Plainville

United Plainville Committed to addressing barriers that prevent belonging within our community.

The Human Relations Community Coalition is a practical and supportive organization dedicated to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable environment for all. We pledge to:

Support public policy solutions that promote equity and inclusion across all aspects of life — including health, economic opportunity, employment, and education. Be accountable to our community by listening deeply, engag

ing with honesty, and taking meaningful action to address structures and systems that perpetuate inequality. Commit to ongoing learning about the barriers that impact members of our community and actively work to create a more inclusive, supportive environment for all. Strengthen our capacity for open, respectful dialogue and take action to address injustice and inequality, even when it means engaging in uncomfortable or difficult conversations. Engage, collaborate, and educate with the goal of building awareness and challenging systems that limit fairness and opportunity. Promote the idea that true inclusion requires continual growth, reflection, and a willingness to shift perspectives and practices. Recognize the importance of equity in our classrooms, workplaces, and community spaces — and the role each of us plays in fostering belonging and fairness.
