🚗💙 It’s Child Passenger Safety Week! 💙🚗

This week, SafeSteps4Kids is celebrating the importance of keeping our most vulnerable passengers safe on every ride.

A few simple reminders for parents and caregivers:
• Keep kids rear-facing as long as possible within the limits of their car seat.
• Use the right seat for your child’s age, height, and weight. Don’t rush to the next stage!
• Make sure the harness is snug and the chest clip is positioned at armpit level.
• Read both manuals. Your car seat manual and vehicle owner’s manual are your best friends when it comes to proper installation.
• Check for recalls on your car seat and register your seat so you can receive important safety updates.

Not sure if your seat is installed correctly? A certified Child Passenger Safety Technician can help! Visit www.safesteps4kids.org for more information.

Because every buckle matters. Every child, every ride, every time! Happy Child Passenger Safety Week from SafeSteps4Kids!

Let's talk about something serious: child passenger safety.

This week is Child Passenger Safety Week. Every year, CHP officers respond to crashes where children are injured or killed because they weren't properly restrained. It's preventable. It's heartbreaking. And it needs to stop. Car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by over 70% for infants and up to 54% for toddlers when used correctly. But "used correctly" is the key phrase. Too many car seats are installed incorrectly or used improperly. If you have questions about your car seat, ask. If you're not sure it's installed right, get it checked. Your child's life depends on it.

We're here to help keep your family safe—one properly secured car seat at a time.

🚗💙 A little SafeSteps4Kids adventure!

Up early this morning and headed to South Lake Tahoe to help a family with a car seat. 🧸🚙

One of the perks of this “job” is getting to serve families and pause for a moment afterward to relax by the lake and take in God’s incredible beauty. 🌊☀️

Grateful for the opportunity to help keep little ones safe — and for the beautiful places this work takes me! 💙

The good news is that we are planning to reschedule the event for October!

We’re disappointed that we can’t gather with our community this weekend, but we look forward to bringing you an amazing event this fall.
