Valencia High School in Placentia hosted its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10:15 a.m. This meaningful community-wide event, organized in partnership with the American Legion, brought students, staff, veterans, first responders, and community members together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

The ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the courage, dedication, and selflessness of our fallen heroes, ensuring their legacy and service are never forgotten. 🇺🇸

This morning, a few of our Placentia members had the honor of attending Paramedic Vinluan’s graduation from the Rio Hondo College Fire Academy.

Paramedic Vinluan was awarded top scholar— a true reflection of his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the fire service. Throughout his time serving the City of Placentia as a private medic, he has continuously demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and an outstanding work ethic.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and excited to see what the future holds for him in the fire service. Please help us congratulate Paramedic Vinluan on this well-deserved accomplishment! 👏🚒

Today, our First Responders were recognized for their unwavering dedication and service to the City of Placentia. We proudly honor the hardworking police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and dispatchers who show up every single day to protect and serve our city.

Thank you to all of our first responders for your commitment, sacrifice, courage, and compassion. Whether on the front lines or working tirelessly behind the scenes, your dedication does not go unnoticed. We are beyond grateful for everything you do to help keep the City of Placentia safe, strong, and supported every day.👮🏼‍♂️ 🚒

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms in the fire service and the strong women who stand behind our firefighters every single day.

Today we celebrate the mothers serving on the front lines, as well as the moms at home holding everything together through long shifts, sleepless nights, missed holidays, and countless sacrifices. Your strength, resilience, and unconditional love never go unnoticed.

Thank you for everything you do for your families, your departments, and the communities across Orange County. Wishing you all a safe, happy, and well-deserved Mother’s Day. 🩷

Huge thank you to & for donating 3 boxes of some of the best conchas in town to Station 1 & Station 2! We truly appreciate the support from our local businesses and love being able to support those who support our community.

With wildland season around the corner, members of the department have been taking classes to further develop and sharpen their skills. Recently, a few of our members had the opportunity to attend CA-219: Wildland Firefighting – Firing Operations.

Continued training and education are essential in preparing our crews for the challenges of wildfire season and ensuring we can safely and effectively protect our communities. We are proud of the dedication our members continue to show both on and off duty as they work to expand their knowledge and capabilities.

Huge thank you to everyone who showed up today to support Kickball Fundraiser—whether you played, supported, volunteered, donated, or just came out to show love.

From our First Responder teams at and to City Hall, the energy was unmatched. Everyone showed up, showed out, and made it an unforgettable day.

Because of YOU, our can continue supporting the mental health and well-being of our first responders—something that truly matters.

Today, a few of our members proudly took part in the citywide volunteer day, continuing a tradition of service and community pride. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of I Love Placentia—a decade of coming together to give back, support one another, and make a lasting impact in our city.

Grateful to be part of a community that shows up, gives back, and keeps the spirit of Placentia strong.
