At Brothers On A Quest, we are dedicated to raising awareness about Ataxia and supporting education, community awareness and research efforts to find treatments and ultimately a cure for this rare neurological condition. Our mission is to provide hope, support, and resources to individuals and families affected by Ataxia, while advocating for greater understanding and inclusivity in our communities. We are heartbroken to learn of the sudden passing of Dr. Susan Perlman, a true pioneer in the ataxia community.

Dr. Perlman was there for the De Mint family during some of the earliest and most difficult years of their journey, offering not only her incredible knowledge and dedication, but also guidance, compassion, and hope when there were so few answers. Her impact on our family and on countless families affected by ataxia cannot be measured.

We will forever be grateful for the role she played in our journey and for the lifetime she dedicated to advancing ataxia care and research.

The ataxia community has lost someone truly special, and our hearts are with her family, colleagues, patients, and all those whose lives she touched. 💙

Today is International Ataxia Awareness Day 💙

For Brothers On A Quest, September 25 is more than a date on the calendar. It represents our family, our community, and the reason we continue to fight every single day.

Ataxia has changed the lives of Tim, Peter and JT — and it is why Brothers On A Quest was created: to raise awareness, support families, and fund research toward treatments and ultimately a cure for Ataxia AOA2.

This week, we came together for our 3rd Annual Golf “Fore” A Cure and saw firsthand what can happen when a community rallies behind a mission. But the quest doesn't end when the tournament does.

Today, we ask you to help us spread awareness. Learn about Ataxia. Share our mission. Talk about it. Support research. Every person who learns what Ataxia is helps give a voice to the individuals and families living with it every day.

We will keep showing up. We will keep funding research. We will keep fighting.

Because our quest has always had one destination: A CURE 💙

Our 3rd Annual Golf “Fore” a Cure was one for the books. Thank you to the Placentia Chamber of Commerce for another incredible year of partnership. From the course to the banquet, the laughs, the generosity, and the incredible community that showed up to support our mission — we are still taking it all in.
