The Milk Truck

The Milk Truck The Milk Truck was a breastfeeding advocacy vehicle and social practices art project in Pittsburgh, PA in 2011-12. The truck is no longer operational.

It was created by artist Jill Miller for the Pittsburgh Biennial at the Andy Warhol Museum. Artist Jill Miller created The Milk Truck when The Andy Warhol Museum invited her to participate in their Pittsburgh Biennial exhibition (September-December, 2011). Having raised the initial seed money through donations made at Kickstarter.com, Miller garnered rave reviews, global media attention and widesp

read enthusiasm for the project, so she formed a Board of Directors and drove The Milk Truck into Phase II. Now that "Trixie" The (actual) Milk Truck has moved to California with Jill, the Pittsburgh Board is planning to focus on distributing supportive Breastfeeding Bags to interested mothers when they give birth at local hospitals and birthing centers.
