The Webb Family established the Dragon Mentorship Scholarship to recognize seniors who have volunteered with the Dragon Mentor program, mentored in the English as a Second Language Program, or taken the Explorations in Teaching Course.

Please help us congratulate this year’s recipients!

Grace Rogers is a faith-driven student who found purpose through her involvement in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and by service-focused activities like Key Club. She plans to attend Mid-America Nazarene University to major in Youth and Family Ministry, pursuing her calling to serve through ministry.

Makayla Everly is a goal-driven student who grew up in a military family and learned resilience through frequent moves and change. She will be the first in her family to attend college, pursuing social work at the University of Kansas. Inspired by her school’s social worker, she hopes to build a meaningful career serving her community.

Herminia Escobar-Calderon overcame challenges in her early school years and found her passion through Key Club, where she enjoys serving the community. She is driven by her goal to be the first in her family to attend college and to make her parents proud. She plans to major in Nursing at Pitt State.

Hey Pittsburg friends!

Looking for a meaningful way to show your American pride 🇺🇸 and support a great cause? The Kiwanis Club of Pittsburg’s American Flag Program is a fantastic opportunity to do both! For just $35, a flag will be placed in your yard for five patriotic holidays throughout the year.

It’s a simple way to make a big impact—proceeds help support local youth and families in our community.

Check out the flyer below for more details, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Please help us spread the word!

Next year’s Pittsburg High School Key Club officers are putting in the work (and having some fun at the same time) in Manhattan at the Kansas Key Club District Convention. Can’t wait to see them put what they’ve learned into action next year.
