Happy Asian-American, Native Hawaiian, & Pacific Islander Heritage Month!

This year's theme is "Power in Unity: Strengthening Communities Together." The theme celebrates the values of collective power, storytelling, and building bridges within and between communities. It commemorates the innovation, resilience, and sacrifice of AANHPI leaders who inspire collaborative thinking and who embolden future generations to continue building up their communities, both near and far.

This year's theme also honors the legacy and impact of AANHPI leaders of all generations, including:

⭐️Patsy Takemoto Mink, who authored the Title IX amendment and was the first non-white woman elected to Congress (1965)

⭐️Queen Lili'uokalani, who was the last reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Hawai'i and fought against the annexation of Hawai'i

⭐️Manmatha Nath Chatterjee & Krishnalal Shridharani, who championed intersectionality and non-violence during the American Civil Rights Movement
