Community Connection is out at the Pink Hill Library for the Back-to-School Bash! We are making cotton candy until 12:30 and there is a lot other services and goodies! Come out get supplies or just be apart of the fun!!

We forget this because we rarely see it anymore. The version of our neighbors that reaches us comes filtered through screens, sorted into camps, flattened into whatever yard sign is out front. So we brace for the worst. We assume the guy with the opposite bumper sticker would leave us stranded on the shoulder out of spite.

He wouldn't. Most people wouldn't. Pull over with a flat and watch who stops. It won't be the pundits who make a living convincing you half the country is your enemy. It'll be a regular person who saw someone in a jam and figured they'd help.

🌟 Details about tomorrow's Back to School Bash:

No registration needed—just show up and visit the library’s table upon arrival.

Remember, kids must be present to receive book bags. Supplies are first come, first served!

The event is rain or shine. In the event of severe rain, you will need to contact the library at 252.568.3631 or in person to place the children on a waitlist for them to come inside with an adult to choose their supplies.

Don’t forget your swimwear if you're hitting the waterslide!

After you receive a book bag, we will have an area to get extra supplies and hygiene items with limitations, as well as tables with local resources to check out!

If you have any further questions, please contact us at 252.568.3631.
