Applications for 2023 Summer Care Grants are now open!

The United Way Suncoast Summer Care program aims to promote school readiness and combat summer learning loss for students in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. By providing high-quality summer camp experiences and educational support for students from low-income families, we help prevent “summer slide,” where they can lose the equivalent of two months of reading skills during the summer. Over time, this loss compounds so that by the end of elementary school these students may be more than two years behind their peers in reading.

We are now accepting applications for 2023 Summer Care Grants for qualified programs:
• In Hillsborough or Pinellas County
• Geared toward VPK – 5th grade
• Summer camp or Kindergarten-readiness program
The application period runs from Nov. 28 – Dec. 19. See full application guidelines below
