Arkansas School system counselors and Youth Professionals each of you are invited to attend the Little Rock Job Corps Center Counselors Luncheon (Valentine’s Edition).

This event provides an opportunity to learn more about the Little Rock Job Corps Center program, including student eligibility, program benefits, and the education and career training pathways available to youth and young adults throughout Arkansas. Attendees will have the chance to meet our dedicated staff, tour the center, enjoy lunch, and obtain valuable resources to better support student postsecondary and career success.

Shorter College needs our help!! These young adults need our help!!

We have welcomed 20 students to our campus following the sudden shutdown of the federal Job Corps program. These young adults were displaced with little to no notice and arrived with minimal personal belongings. As they begin their transition into academic and residential life at Shorter, we are working to ensure they feel supported, seen, and prepared.

We are currently collecting the following items to help meet their immediate needs:
• Twin XL sheets, mattress covers, comforters, and pillows
• Towels, washcloths, hygiene and feminine products
• Toilet paper
• Non-perishable snacks
• Gift cards (Walmart, Target, Family Dollar)
