Another inspiring day of impactful, encouraging and uplifting conversations for the ladies of She Leads Pine Bluff! Beauty and The Biz was a success!

Our panelists/leadership coaches offered amazing advice. There were tutorials, giveaways, catered lunch, and an absolutely priceless experience. What a privilege it is to serve!

In 2 weeks, there will be the first Promise Walk for Pre-Eclampsia on Saturday, October 3rd here in Pine Bluff! She Leads Founder Rikki Nelson will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies!

When asked about why this mission is near to her heart, she said, "I struggled with Pre-Eclampsia towards the end of my pregnancy. It was scary! It got bad. I am thankful to survive with my son. It's a sometimes fatal condition that we should shed more awareness on!"

Meet our final panelist for tomorrow's Beauty and the Biz event at The Generator- Miss Courtney Nikole Woods! 💜

Courtney Nikole Woods is an accomplished young scholar, entrepreneur, and licensed professional who is building a future centered on education, agriculture, business, and entrepreneurship.

Courtney graduated with honors from Pine Bluff High School in 2024. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and was presented as a debutante during her senior year.

Following high school, Courtney continued pursuing both her academic and entrepreneurial goals. She graduated from Peaky’s Cosmetology for the Culture, where she completed the Manicurist Program. She is also the proud Owner and Operator of Nails by Nikole, combining her creativity, professionalism, and entrepreneurial spirit to build her own growing business.

Courtney is currently a sophomore at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), majoring in Agricultural Business. She is also an 1890 Scholar, an achievement that reflects her academic promise and commitment to pursuing a career connected to agriculture and business.

At a young age, Courtney has already established herself as a scholar, college student, licensed professional, and business owner. She continues to pursue her goals with determination while developing the education, experience, and leadership skills that will prepare her to make a meaningful impact in her career and community.

Tachyra Thornton-Harris | Chy Chy the MUA

Founder, BEAT x Chy

Tachyra Thornton-Harris, affectionately known as “Chy Chy the MUA,” is a Pine Bluff native, self-taught makeup artist, and entrepreneur behind BEAT x Chy. Her interest in makeup artistry began in 2018, but it was during the pandemic that she decided to fully invest in her craft and turn her passion into a business.

Inspired by other beauty influencers, Tachyra took a leap of faith—investing in herself, sharpening her skills, and building her clientele from the ground up. What began with zero clients has grown to more than 1,000, fueled by her commitment to networking, cultivating meaningful business relationships, and creating an experience that keeps clients coming back.

Through BEAT x Chy, Tachyra’s mission is simple: to accentuate each person’s God-given beauty and take it to the next level—one face at a time. She proudly embraces her identity as a Black woman, entrepreneur, and BOSS who believes in living out loud, showing up authentically, and finding joy in being unapologetically yourself.

Her artistry is for anyone age 16 and older who desires to wear makeup, experience a confidence boost, or simply feel good about themselves. She is especially passionate about creating an inclusive and affirming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and using her growing platform to amplify and empower those who have too often felt unheard, unseen, or underestimated.
