This was the longest- LOUDEST- rescue trip of my life lmao. I deeply wish driving with earplugs is legal. 😂

Those that followed along on our stories know my pain- but everyone arrived to foster safe and sound, and now vetting and decompression can begin!

Thanks to the support and quick thinking of everyone involved, these puppies will never know a bad day or the inside of a shelter. 5 more lives safe from harm. The mission endures🩷

I’d like to say I’m still able to be surprised by some people’s cruelty and nonchalance, but alas I cannot. I AM, however, constantly blown away by how people show up for these dogs that we all love and cherish.

This was a group effort. Hours of back and forth phone tag. Calling everyone we know in Georgia, texting friends, looking for rentals, figuring out routes. A call to Nina at PLAY! K9 Rescue to see if she had space or options. And thankfully she led us to Beth at DogSpeak Tallahassee who stepped up without hesitation.

Beth handled drop off, assessed puppies, gave a very tired Mama her own suite to escape pointy puppy teeth, dewormed babies, and headed out to the feed store to grab appropriate puppy food. Super woman, really.

Now the rest is up to us! We picked up our rental last night literally minutes before close, and will be leaving later today to head the 7 hours down to collect these babies. This is an unexpected expense pick up for us, but I’m (*cue the voice*) once again asking for your financial support.

Letty. Leticia. Lettuce. Letty Spaghetti. Spagoot.

We have officially crossed past the one year mark of her time with us, and I’m baffled.

She is smart as a whip, doesn’t know a stranger, has everything a sport home could want (including a double suspension gait and apparently Red wings 💨💨)

She does better with male dogs (especially intact males), but can tolerate females; her dog selectivity appears to go off vibes and no actual rhyme or reason. 😅 She has med-high prey and food drive, is excited to train and check in with her person, and is splendid in her kennel.

Shes got a high strung but soft and sensitive disposition, and will thrive in a (small animal and small child free) home that will support her through some of her quirks and immerse her in all the adventures and snuggles.

She is NOT a therapy or SD candidate.

Available for adoption in Greenville SC. Application and in person meet and greet required. Not available for adoption to TX or Cali.

Some months we place 3-5 dogs with the absolute perfect homes, and everything pays for itself! And some (many) months we barely scrape by.

Out of the 30someodd dogs in rescue, 12 have been here for a year or more. That’s a year of renewed vaccines, food, preventions, annual checkups, and care. On top of the regular day to day expenses of expanding, events/training, repairs, keeping the lights on. And now that we’re pulling more dogs from California, we’re running 750-1800 per dog for health certs and surgery and transports.

Expansion has always been the goal. Helping more dogs will always be the goal. I have no doubt we’ll continue on that path, but this month the goal is also making it through the quieter times.

“Good morning everyone it’s Brax, just wanted to give you an update on where i’ve been for the last five months. My foster , human and I are in michigan , and we do all kinds of exciting things.
Rides in the truck, time on the river and tons of other adventures.
I’ll always be rather timid and aloof around strangers and different environments, but my human says none of this is my fault.
He says most the time environmental stability comes from good jeans lol i don’t get it because I don’t wear genes 🤣
Anyways, he never uses what I’ve been through, to make excuses or justify what I am today. I totally trust him.
I think he and I trust one another enough to say that this is my forever home.
To potential fosters who are reading this, thank you for considering a rescue that type of consideration has changed my life.

“Creed’s bio: He loves my granddaughter Lai! He always is a gentleman. Yet so fun and his most special obsession is Zahra his sister. We call him out gentle giant! Topping at 75 pounds but probably getting bigger with the adult spread. He love every car ride 💤 and then ready to go! Has swam till his legs could fall off likes to have alot of bed and snuggle time. Oh and love cucumbers from the garden. Maybe he got the obsession from Zahra who got it from Sarge(that passed). 12. 12 adoptable dogs who have sat for a year or more, thinking that we’re their final stop. But we were never meant to be.

Every single one of these dogs deserves to get out of the rescue. Into a home with someone who looks at them every day and thinks “you’re the reason I wake up in the morning.” They deserve to be someone’s heart dog/s.

So we need your help to find their people! They’re out there, we know it. Some are quirky, some are off standard for the breed, some are “too much” and others too little.

But to the right home, they’re perfect.

**Available in Greenville SC. The application process still applies. Applicants are required to travel in to meet their dogs. We don’t adopt to TX or CA.**
