Good evening. If you are someone looking to volunteer in the PICAYUNE area, we need help to drive bats in need of help to Wiggins or Lucedale. We have people refusing to drive at all.
They won’t ask their friends, they won’t ask any of the Picayune community pages for help, they just want to call Becky and pressure her into driving.
She can’t. I can’t. She has 20+ little bats on 2-3 hour feeding schedules. If she isn’t feeding them, she needs to be sleeping or taking care of herself. I work full time in Hattiesburg.
That’s it. She isn’t driving more than 30 minutes for any bat. We have one amazing volunteer handling coast pickups, but Picayune has proven to be a problem area with lots of baby bats. To those that have met us halfway, thank you. To those that refuse to try, we need you to do more than call us and make Becky feel bad.
