The Choice Neighborhoods Planning Team and your Resident Leaders are bringing the conversation straight to you, TODAY from 4–6 p.m.!

Stop by a station near you to share your thoughts on the future of your community, connect with neighbors, and grab some refreshments.

Plus, each of the four locations has a chance to win a $50 gift card, so be sure to stop by!

Join the Planning Team for two great events happening this week!

- Marcos de Niza Residents - Thursday, March 5 at 4pm in front of iWORK

- Neighborhood Residents (Marcos de Niza & Grant Park neighborhoods) - Friday, March 6 at 4:30pm on 3rd Ave between Grant and Sherman

Both events are free to the community and will feature food, prizes, activities to share feedback, information from community partners, music, and more. See the flyers below for more details.

Join us for a fun community block party tomorrow, November 6, from 4:00-6:00pm! We will have activities, food, music and more! This is a free event and will be fun for the whole family.

On Thursday, May 15, Phoenix Revitalization Corporation and the City of Phoenix Housing Department hosted a Storytelling Workshop at Harmon Library in partnership with the South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute.

This inspiring workshop gave residents the chance to explore their personal histories, discover their unique voice, and develop their own storytelling style. Through a guided presentation, participants learned how to craft and share their stories — and even practiced telling them in a supportive group setting.

A total of 22 residents joined for this event, which was offered in English and Spanish), and dinner was provided.

On Saturday, April 5, residents at Marcos de Niza gathered for “Cafecitos” — a morning of meaningful conversation, connection, and community insight.

The event featured four stations, creating space for residents to share their experiences in small, focused groups. Interested participants also enjoyed a guided golf cart tour of the neighborhood, pointing out key areas, like where they feel safety improvements are neeeded, infrastructure updates, or new community amenities.

Members of the Resident Leadership Council (RLC), Wisdom In Neighborhoods (W.I.N.) Team, the Choice Neighborhoods Planning Team, City of Phoenix Housing Department staff, and Phoenix Revitalization Corporation participated in this collaborative effort.

With breakfast, prizes, and plenty of meaningful conversation, the Cafecitos event provided valuable insights and an exciting opportunity for a stronger, more connected neighborhood!

Thanks for joining us at Grant Park!

On April 4, the Marcos de Niza Planning Team and the City of Phoenix Housing Department hosted a Listening Tour & Community Event at Grant Park — and what a great turnout! Over 60 community members came together to share their voices and shape the future of their neighborhood.

The event was a chance to reflect on what we've heard so far and gather even more feedback on:

- An Early Action Activity
- Neighborhood branding and logo ideas
- Residents' vision for their community
- What everyday life is like in the area

We also had youth drawing activities, delicious food (including a dessert table sponsored by Phoenix Revitalization Corporation), fun prizes, and a special visit from the IDIA Mobile Hive!

Thank you to everyone who participated — your input is helping to shape the future of our community!
