THE WEIGHT!!
Sometimes something small
Something almost invisible
Becomes a doorway…
And the enemy is patient.
He grabs a chisel
And slowly begins striking at your thoughts,
Carving fear where peace once lived,
Whispering lies until your mind starts spiraling.
Then the war begins.
Because you know God's character.
You know His promises.
You know what He said about you.
But suddenly what you know
And what you feel
Become two sides of a rope...
And inside of you
A tug of war starts raging.
Most of us run from this place.
We hide from it.
We shame ourselves for feeling weak,
For feeling heavy,
For feeling human.
But I’ve learned something in my own journey...
When I stop running,
When I invite God and the Holy Spirit into that place,
Into the broken place,
Into the vulnerable place,
Into the messy place...
There is supernatural power there.
No, it doesn’t feel good in the middle of it.
It doesn’t feel good when tears fall.
It doesn’t feel good when the pressure is heavy.
But there is comfort in knowing
God is still there.
The weight of the calling is overwhelming.
The weight of purpose is overwhelming.
The weight of what you carry is real.
BUT GOD.
Surrendering it to Him is a process.
Not a moment.
A journey.
So to the ones struggling today,
To the ones hurting today,
To the ones who feel like hope is slipping through their hands
I want to remind you:
It's okay to feel.
Just don't shut God out.
Invite Him in.
Don't be afraid of those liquid prayers running down your face,
No matter where you are.
Because God can use those tears to wash places words could never reach.
Let God be the perfect housekeeper.
He won't clean what doesn't need cleaning.
He won't force His will into places you aren't ready to surrender.
He lovingly cleans according to His will
Not ours.
Be encouraged today:
God can use your emotions.
God can use your struggle.
God can use your pain.
And He can use you...
Exactly where you are.
