The Assyrian American community of Arizona came together in unity to commemorate Assyrian Martyrs Day, with representatives from our churches, organizations, and political parties all participating in this meaningful occasion.

It was truly beautiful to witness Assyrian unity in its full force, coming together to honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives for our people. May God rest the souls of our martyrs, and may their memory live on forever. 🕊️🙏🏻

August 7th, marks Assyrian Martyrs Remembrance Day.

We pause to honor and remember every Assyrian life lost
—from the Simele Massacre in 1933 to the many atrocities our people have endured since.
This day is not only a day of mourning-it is a call to action.

Remembering them just one day a year is not enough.
We carry their memory every single day in our hearts, our voices, and our relentless pursuit of justice.
We will continue to fight for truth.

We will continue to demand recognition of all Assyrian genocides.

We will continue, in their name.

Never forgotten. Never silenced.

Together, we will remember their sacrifice, celebrate the resilience of our nation, and reaffirm our commitment to preserving our history, culture, language, and heritage for generations to come.
