Not every athlete is chasing medals or records. Some are chasing a goal bigger than themselves. 🇺🇸

This year, our honorary Dawson Athletic Club athlete Rachel set out to conquer a military fitness standard that once felt nearly impossible:
🏃‍♀️ 4 miles in 36 minutes.

When Rachel first began training with Coach Tabatha last fall, she was fighting for every step, struggling to break below a 16-minute mile pace despite giving it everything she had. Between long hospital shifts and military responsibilities, not to mention crazy Montana winter weather, training consistency wasn’t easy — but she showed up anyway.

Through a carefully coordinated plan focused on breathing mechanics, running form, strength, endurance, recovery and realistic scheduling, Rachel steadily transformed herself into a stronger, more confident athlete.

And this spring?
She passed her 4-mile fitness test in resounding fashion, coming in at just under that 9 minute per mile requirement — exceeding even her own expectations. 💪🔥

Coach Tabatha put it best:
“Running as a concept isn’t hard to teach. It’s the consistency and commitment that people struggle with. But, when you have a good plan and a willing, dedicated athlete like Rachel, it’s only a matter of time until you see that hard work pay off.”

After a short recovery break, Rachel is already back to work — training to become even more consistent, confident, and prepared for whatever fitness challenge comes next.

We are incredibly proud of you, Rachel. Your grit, discipline, and determination are what being an athlete is truly about.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms of Dawson Athletic Club & AAG. ❤️

Parents do so much behind the scenes and rarely get enough credit — especially moms of athletes. From driving kids to practices and meets, to making sure they have snacks, water, sunscreen, clean clothes, spikes, and equipment… you keep everything moving.

You help with fundraising, support the coaching staff, take photos so memories are never forgotten, and cheer for every athlete — not just your own. Your love, sacrifice, and support help build this community and shape these athletes into who they are becoming.

From our staff to you — thank you for everything you do.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope… it’s Peyton Summers.

If you blinked, you missed it.

Peyton took the win in the 1500m race, blazing past the field at the Marauders Tune-up and dropping another HUGE personal best — 4:04.15 🔥

Big day for Dawson Athletic Club at the Montana Open! 🔥

Samuel clipped the first hurdle but never backed down—staying on his feet, attacking each hurdle, and finishing strong. Not a PR today, but showed grit where it matters most—closing hard and overtaking two competitors down the final stretch. That’s growth.

Peyton absolutely made waves.
In a monster performance, he dropped 26 seconds, clocking a 15:07.08 in the 5000m. HUGE PERSONAL BEST PERFORMANCE!

That kind of jump doesn’t happen by accident—it’s what trusting the process looks like. And if you think you’ve seen it all, you’d be wrong! Big things are on the horizon.

Keep watching… so you can say, “I knew him when.” 👀

It was a great day for track at the Blue Hawk Games!

Peyton Summers set the tone early with a 31:27.62 in the 10,000m race, knocking 17 seconds off his previous best.

Then Samuel Urenda, in just his second time over the 400m hurdles, battled his way to a 1:05.27 — nearly a 5-second improvement.

That’s what growth looks like.
That’s what showing up every day builds.

Not only did our high school club members go out and excel at the new MSU facility in their races, but Friday they cheered on the DCC athletes, as well as our Open Division club athlete, Peyton Summers in the Carignan Classic.

Peyton set a goal and once again, put on a show and crushed it, running an impressive 8:55.05 in his 3000m race.

Congratulations Peyton!

Dawson Athletic Club got together for a team holiday dinner hosted by one of our lovely families….huge thanks to the Carter’s. It was highly entertaining. From listening to Jack play the piano, to the boys trying to survive hybrid chiles, and of course a bit of wrestling & a nerf fight. It was a night full of good food, friends, fun and laughter.
