COMMUNITY HEROES, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.💜

L.I.F.E. is proud to support our friends at Stop Our Stigma and Breakthrough Smash Room for this incredible FREE event honoring those who serve our communities. 🇺🇸

First responders, emergency and trauma healthcare professionals, dispatchers, and crisis support personnel carry so much in service to others. But the weight of the work doesn’t end when the shift does, and no one should have to carry it alone.

On October 28, join for a day dedicated to releasing stress, breaking barriers, and reminding our community heroes that their well-being matters, too. 💙

💜 Beyond grateful. Beyond successful. Beyond what we could have imagined.

Our 2026 Fall Gala for LIFE & SOS was truly an unforgettable evening, and we are filled with gratitude for every person who helped make it possible.

To our incredible guests, sponsors, donors, volunteers, board members, speakers, partners, and everyone who showed up with an open heart — thank you. Your generosity and belief in our mission mean more than we can put into words.

Together, we are creating meaningful support and resources for healthcare workers and first responders, providing programs focused on trauma recovery, resilience, mental wellness, and healing — because the people who spend their lives caring for others deserve to be cared for, too.

This evening was about more than a gala. It was about community, connection, hope, and making sure no one on the front lines has to navigate the weight of their work alone.

We are incredibly humbled by the love and support surrounding LIFE & SOS and so grateful to everyone who continues to believe in this mission.

Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for showing up. And thank you for helping us make a difference. 💜
Here’s to continuing the work — together.

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or simply out of sync? Sometimes a few intentional moments can help us reconnect with ourselves.

Therese Martell-Bosshardt walks us through the Quick Coherence® Technique, a simple HeartMath® practice that combines heart-focused breathing with intentionally connecting to a feeling of appreciation, care, joy, or calm.

Therese is the President of Empowering STEPS, LLC, a Certified Educational Trainer with the Institute of HeartMath™, a valued partner of LIFE, and a member of our Program Committee. Her experience includes coaching and training educators, counselors, social workers, first responders, healthcare professionals, scientists, and organizations both in the U.S. and internationally.

💜We are grateful to have Therese helping LIFE bring practical, evidence-informed tools for stress management, resilience, and emotional well-being to the people who spend their lives caring for others. 💜

Try it with Therese:
Breathe slowly and bring your attention to the area around your heart.
Inhale for 5 seconds. Exhale for 5 seconds.
Then bring to mind something you genuinely appreciate—and try to feel that sense of care, gratitude, joy, or calm.
Save this video for the next time you need a moment to reset, and share it with someone who could use it too.

Do you recognize any signs that you’re carrying too much? 🤍

Feeling constantly exhausted, overwhelmed, irritable, disconnected, having trouble sleeping, or feeling like you’re running on empty can all be signs that your mind and body are asking you to slow down.

What feels like “just being busy” can gradually turn into burnout and burnout can affect every part of how we show up in our lives.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until you’re completely depleted to make a change.

✨ Take a few intentional breaths
✨ Give yourself permission to pause
✨ Move your body and get outside in nature
✨ Set healthy boundaries
✨ Practice mindfulness
✨ Talk to someone you trust
✨ Make time for the things that genuinely restore you

At L.I.F.E. (Living In Fulfilled Enlightenment), we provide tools, resources, and education to help you manage stress, prevent burnout, and reconnect with a more mindful, balanced, and fulfilled life.

You don’t have to carry it all alone. 💜

What’s one thing you can put down today?

Did you know we have a LIFE ASU Chapter? 💜

September is Su***de Awareness Month, and we’re proud to partner with our LIFE ASU chapter, to bring awareness to mental wellness, su***de prevention, and the importance of caring for ourselves while caring for others.
As healthcare providers, we know how easily burnout can impact nurses and future healthcare professionals. That’s why we’re working together to provide future nurses with tools and resources to help recognize stress, prevent burnout, and create a more mindful state of being.

Through practices and resources such as EMDR, HeartMath, intentional breathing techniques, mindfulness, and mental wellness education, we’re helping students build healthy coping strategies they can carry with them throughout their careers.

💜You don’t have to wait until you’re struggling to take care of your mental health.

You matter. Your mental health matters. And asking for help is a sign of strength.
