Five years ago, Per Scholas Phoenix opened its doors with a vision, to create pathways into thriving technology careers for people who simply needed access, opportunity, and someone willing to invest in their potential.

On **Friday, October 9**, we invite our community to join us for our **5th Anniversary & Graduation Celebration: Five Years of Impact!** 🎓🎉

We will celebrate our newest **IT Data Center and Health IT graduates**, recognize the employers, funders, community partners, and alumni who have helped make this work possible, and share some exciting announcements about what's NEXT as we continue expanding our reach across Arizona.

Everyone is talking about Arizona's growth.

Few are talking about the workforce required to sustain it.

As data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, healthcare facilities, advanced manufacturing, and smart buildings continue to expand across our state, one occupation is becoming increasingly critical: **Low-Voltage Technicians.**

These professionals install, maintain, and troubleshoot the systems that make modern buildings intelligent and secure—including structured cabling, fiber optics, security and access control, surveillance systems, audiovisual technology, fire alarm systems, and network infrastructure. Without them, businesses don't connect, hospitals don't communicate, data doesn't move, and critical facilities don't operate.

The demand is growing because Arizona's technology ecosystem is growing.

Entry-level low-voltage technicians often begin earning **$24–$30 per hour**, with experienced technicians frequently earning **$35–$45+ per hour**, depending on specialization and certifications. This support strengthens the tech talent pipeline while creating economic mobility for our community. Since launching in Phoenix, we've served 549 job seekers, achieving an 80% job attainment rate within 12 months of graduation and 60% within just 4 months.

The impact extends far beyond the classroom, every $1 invested in Per Scholas generates an estimated $8 in economic return to the community through increased earnings, stronger families, and a more skilled workforce.

15 weeks. Countless challenges. Endless growth. So proud of our IT support graduates at Per Scholas Phoenix for crossing the finish line and launching our 2026 graduation season with excellence. What people often do not see is the discipline behind moments like this. The late nights. The self doubt. The balancing of family, work, life, and intensive training all at once. Yet they showed up anyway. This cohort built more than technical skills. They built resilience, confidence, community, and momentum.
