That is why this partnership between Per Scholas Phoenix and Assistory Outreach Services matters so deeply.

Through this collaboration, we now have an onsite food pantry available to our learners. No sign up. No barriers. Just access. Every two weeks, the pantry is restocked by Jon Taylor and his team at Assistory Outreach Services so that those working to transform their lives through tech training do not have to worry about something as basic and essential as food.

Because let’s be clear. You cannot fully focus on building a new future when you are uncertain about meeting your basic needs.
This is about dignity.
This is about care.
This is about removing barriers so people can rise.

When basic needs are met, minds can focus.
When people are supported, they can soar.
When organizations come together with intention, lives change.
We are not just building careers.
We are building people.

Two Weeks, Two Cohorts — Let’s GO! 🙌

Our newest cohort has officially begun their 15‑week journey, where learners will dive into foundational IT support and essential Data Center operations—building the technical and professional skills needed to launch impactful careers in tech. 🖥️

We were especially excited to welcome a “Voice from the Field” guest: Per Scholas Phoenix alum Jason O.. Jason completed our Data Center cohort just last February and is now thriving in his role as a Data Center Technician at Microsoft.

He returned today to share insights, encouragement, and real‑world advice with our incoming learners—showing firsthand that with dedication, support, and the right training… a year can change everything.

Here’s to a strong start and the incredible success stories ahead!✨

Some of our Per Scholas Phoenix team (Duane Harper, Dale McCormick, & Kaitlyn Begay) stepped out for Data Center Day at Estrella Mountain Community College, and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with learners, partners, and industry professionals. We’re grateful to everyone who took the time to speak with us during the networking session. ✨👥

Equal Pay is a workforce infrastructure issue. In Arizona, the pay gap for women is 85 cents, but notably, for Black women it decreases to 61 cents and for Black men to 67 cents for every $1.00 earned by white men. The disparity further widens for Hispanic and Native American women and men. Given its impact, virtually everyone is affected by this workforce issue. If you'd like to contribute to resolving this matter, join us on Equal Pay Day, March 4th.

Today we kicked off our first AI Enabled IT Support cohort of 2026 at Per Scholas Phoenix and the energy was undeniable.

Twenty five focused, ambitious, future technologists walked in ready to level up.

This is what forward momentum looks like.
Not just learning IT fundamentals.
Not just earning a credential.
But learning how to leverage AI, think critically, and compete in a tech economy that refuses to slow down.

A special shout out to Phoenix alum Courtney LaVere for coming back to pour into the next generation. She kept it real, answered every question, and reminded our learners what is possible when you stay the course. That is the power of alumni impact.

Access matters. Preparation matters. Exposure matters.

These 25 are not just starting a class. They are stepping into opportunity, economic mobility, and careers that can shift family trajectories.

2026 is already in motion.
