Come celebrate Sunnyslope at the Parking Lot Bash! Join Fuerte Arts Movement and Vinyl Grounds for an afternoon of art, music, and community as we open the doors at Vinyl Grounds and unveil a new mural designed with our neighbors.
Sunnyslope gets skipped way too often. On Sunday, October 11, we’re showing up for it. Ballots will already be in mailboxes, so bring your questions, your family, and your friends, and let’s make a plan to vote together.
What’s happening:
🎨 Mural unveiling (4:00 PM): The main event! See the wall Sunnyslope helped design and hear from the muralist and Fuerte’s Executive Director, Xenia Orona.
🖍️ Kids’ mural station: Little artists can design and draw their own mural all afternoon.
🌎 Artist Exchange launch: Kick off a new exchange that sends Arizona artists to California galleries and brings California artists here.
🗳️ Voter help: Get answers to your ballot questions, find out how to return your early ballot, and make your plan to vote.
🛡️ Guardians of Democracy trainings: Guardians 101 for new Guardians (12:30 PM) and Guardians 201 for returning Guardians (1:30 PM).
🎟️ Art raffle: Win original work donated by local artists, including a piece from the muralist.
🎶 Music, DJ, performances, and community partner tables all afternoon.
Free and open to all ages. Bring the whole family!
