What an honor to have been given this time with Sandra Day O’Connor, the first woman Supreme Court justice. Our conversation included the importance of civic engagement and reading. She was so kind to me. She died this morning at 93 and was born on my birthdate March 30th.

Many thanks to Triad West and Dr. Joel Martin for honoring me with the Philanthropic Leadership Award. You have blessed me so much. Congratulations to the Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus Pine Council for receiving the Corporation Leadership Award and Patricia Tellez Olds, recipient of the Entrepreneur Leadership Award. We also took home nuggets and other tools from Emcee Susan Casper, Tempe Mayor Corey Woods, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, Dr Lois Brown, Rev Sheriolyn Curry Hodge and host of other speakers.
