If you have clean, gently-used sweatshirts or hoodies in your closet you are planning on donating please consider bringing them to this event. We would like to add them to the backpacks.

For planning purposes, packing parties usually last about 1 to 1.5 hours, including group photos and cleanup. As in the past two events we will also be working on a donation to help food insecure folks in our community. The director of the food bank thought it would be great if we could put together spice bags (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc...) so this time we are going to "spice up" our operation.

Backpack Work Party

Join us as we assemble backpacks for homeless - warming items, hygiene kits and food items

Itakes only an hour.
You will be helping at least 120 people.
All are invited to attend - this is a community event.
Bring a friend!

You do not need to bring anything except your help. IF you wish to help even more, please consider bringing gently used and laundered warm socks or hoodies, or individually wrapped nutritious shelf stable snacks.

If you can attend, please meet us at The Peace Lutheran Church in Philomath and feel free to bring any items you want to donate.

Mens or womens socks (new or used/laundered)
Hoodies or sweatshirts adult sizes XS through ###L (new or used/laundered)
Individually wrapped snacks/shelf stable food (think granola bars or fruit cups)
Triple AAA batteries
Any clean used rain gear
