IGY6 Brotherhood

We are IGY6 Brotherhood. We are raising money for our brother Luis "Trigger" Borges. On the evening of June 7th, Trigger was traveling on I-78 when he unfortunately hit a black bear. The road was not well lit. Luis was not speeding and was riding responsibly. Luis was Medevac'd to Morristown Medical Center and has been in surgical ICU with a life threatening brain bleed. The doctors are confident he will recover, but currently we are uncertain, since he has been induced for the past week to allow his brain to heal. Luis's family and friends have been by his bed side 24/7 since the night of the accident. His medical bills are adding up quickly. Anything you can give will certainly help. We will also being doing a local fundraiser in Phillipsburg NJ on Sunday 7/19/26. Event details to follow. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. It means a lot!!

UPDATE!

Luis is slowly recovering. Doctors are trying to ween him off of the sedation meds. He is responding to pain sensation. We are hoping to be able to speak to him very soon.

Keep it up prayer warriors!! 

His family has been reading every single comment and it is uplifting their spirits. Please keep it up!! It means more than you will ever know

The bear was black and obviously he didn’t see it. He is stable, but not out of the woods. He is our brother, but more importantly a loyal father, husband and friend too many people to list. Please pray for him and his family. Uplift their spirits and let them know he is loved.
