There are kids in foster care
who don’t have a single adult fighting for them.

No one calling for updates.
No one showing up to court.
No one asking how they’re doing.

No one.

Their names aren’t being spoken in prayer by a mom.
Their birthdays aren’t circled on anyone’s calendar.
Their milestones come and go… and nobody even knows.

They exist in a system full of paperwork,
but empty of people.

And if you’ve never sat with that reality…
it should break you.

Because while we debate policies
and timelines
and what’s “fair” for adults…

there are children growing up
completely unseen.

No visits.
No calls.
No one working a plan.
No one coming back.

Just silence.

Some of these kids are not waiting for reunification.
They’re not waiting for someone to get better.

They’re learning…
no one is coming.

And that does something to a child.

It teaches them not to expect love.
Not to trust consistency.
Not to believe that they matter enough
for someone to stay.

So when they push people away…
when they act like they don’t care…
when they build walls so high no one can get in…

it’s not because they’re “difficult.”

It’s because at some point,
they stopped believing anyone would fight for them anyway.

And the truth is…

every child deserves at least one person
who refuses to give up on them.

One person who shows up.
Who stays.
Who says, “You are not too much. You are not forgotten.”

Because a system can place a child in a home…
but it cannot replace
what it feels like to be chosen.

And there are kids right now
who are still waiting
to know what that feels like.

Hi! I’m Olivia Robbins. My husband, Luke and I just started our journey as foster parents last year. Before we got married, we prayed about becoming foster parents and helping to bridge the gap. We opened our home in June of 2025 and that same month we had the most precious little boy placed in our home! He has definitely kept us on our toes and we have loved every minute of it getting to watch him learn and grow! When we first opened our home we had several people in our community and our church family, donate children clothes and items. It helped us especially the first month of learning to navigate this new season of our lives. And now fast forward almost a year later we have to opportunity to help and give back to foster families in our community! If you would like to donated to help these sweet kiddos and precious families please reach out and we will be happy to meet or pick up for all age groups!

Hi, I'm Jennifer Smith, and I've had the privilege of being a foster parent for many years. My husband, Scott, and I have opened our hearts and home to over 25 children, adopting three boys and a daughter along the way. Our family is also blessed with two biological daughters, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, and a beautiful granddaughter. Currently, we're fostering a teenage girl and a baby boy. As a full-time owner of a beauty salon, life can get chaotic, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The Hope Chest is designed to alleviate the financial burden on foster parents and offer emotional support to those who need it. If you have questions or need someone to listen, please don't hesitate to reach out. We'll do our best to find the answers you need. Thank you for considering helping us make The Hope Chest a success. These innocent children deserve the very best.
