The Genessa J Santiago Foundation was established in memory of our daughter to help 2 students pursue their educational goals as they head towards a college of their choice! She was born on a Friday evening in Rolling Hill Hospital. She graduated from Calvary Christian Academy and attended Community College of Philadelphia. Nessa as we all knew her was a vibrant and happy young lady. She was loud
and funny and always put a smile on your face. Nessa had a big heart. Even in her passing, she brought life by being an organ donor. As she encountered others she was selfless and kind and had dreams of working in the medical field, which would provide an extension of her love for others. In the grief and pain her family has suffered in losing her, we are all in agreement that she will leave behind a legacy. In her room we found many remnants of her thoughts and dreams ready to blossom. As a family, we will help ensure her dreams become a reality. Nessa has moved on to the most special place, while leaving a void in all of our hearts. Because of Nessa, many lives have been saved and will continue to be saved. Through Nessa’s scholarship foundation, she will be able to annually help two students, a male and female, in pursuing their dreams in a college of their choice. The family is greatly appreciative of all forms of donations. Whether it be in the monetary goals needed to propel this foundation forward or in time spent and assistance given in keeping Nessa’s legacy alive.
