At Gabrielle’s Wings, we honor the strength and spirit of Black communities and the generations who turned pain into progress.

Nine years.

Nine years since my beautiful Gabrielle was taken from me.

Some days it feels impossible that so much time has passed. Other days it feels like yesterday.

I miss her laugh. I miss her hugs. I miss the future we were supposed to have together.

The greatest gift I can give her now is ensuring that her life continues to matter and continues to change lives.

Through Gabrielle's Wings, children who may never have had the opportunities Gabrielle had are finding safe spaces, support, hope, and the chance to dream bigger.

🌿 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🌿

At Gabrielle’s Wings, we believe every child deserves to grow up whole, healthy, and hopeful. This month, we reaffirm our commitment to youth socio-emotional mental wellness.

One way we're supporting children is through Peace Corners — safe, nurturing spaces created within schools and communities where kids can take a moment to breathe, reflect, and regulate their emotions. These corners are a simple but powerful tool in promoting emotional intelligence, resilience, and inner peace.

Together, we can build a world where every child has the tools, the space, and the support to heal, grow, and fly.

Our 2025 Annual Report is here — and we are so proud to share it with this community. 💜

This year, Gabrielle's Wings supported approximately 4,600 children through Peace Corners and an additional 3,600 through partner programs. We're now building our 14th Peace Corner — each one a place where a child can breathe, reset, and hear the message: "you are safe here."

From classrooms in Philadelphia to a summer camp in Westchester to a bookstore in Chicago — the need is real, and the impact is growing.

Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day—a perfect reminder that even the smallest gestures can make a big difference!

At Gabrielle's Wings, we believe in the butterfly effect which means that one small action can change the world.

HOW TO OBSERVE RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS DAY:
Leave a kind note for someone, no explanation is needed.
Share words of encouragement. You never know who might need them.
Drop off a load of groceries at the local food pantry.
Mail a "thinking of you" card to someone you've not to talk to in a while.
Just smile-you never know who needs to see it.
