At Manna on Main Street, we believe no one should be forced to go without food. That’s why we launched a campaign in 2022 to create “A North Penn Where No One Is Hungry.”

As the largest nonprofit organization working to end hunger in the greater North Penn region of Montgomery County, we have grown in the last four years from serving 5,000 to now over 7,000 of our neighbors every year.

The Assistant Director of Advancement will steward this generosity to ensure Manna has the resources to further its mission and continue to reach more people in need. Join us as we work to end hunger, build community and transform lives—together.

**REMOTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY**

Manna on Main Street is currently in need of donated shelf-stable bagged meals! Whenever our programs are closed, we give out these meals ahead of time to our meal guests to ensure they continue to have food accessible until we reopen. We have two closures coming up in September – Labor Day and our annual Inventory Day – so we need to rebuild our supply of these bags, and we need your help! Manna on Main Street is planning to launch a grocery home delivery program, aiming to better serve our community members who have significant barriers to accessing food at Manna. To do this, we are actively looking for volunteer delivery drivers. This volunteer will have a clean driving record, the ability to lift approximately 40lbs, and be able to complete a driver training program. A personal vehicle is not required; a Manna vehicle will be used. If you are interested, please reach out to our Volunteer Director at [email protected]

📣BIG ANNOUNCEMENT📣

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership: Starting Monday, August 3, Manna's Common Grounds Café will use a custom coffee roast in collaboration with Backyard Beans Coffee Co.!!!!

Staff have been working diligently on this for months, and we’re so excited to share it with our community!

We’ve teamed up with our neighbors at Backyard Beans – conveniently located on Main Street in Lansdale, just like Manna – to create Common Grounds Brew. It’s a full-bodied dark roast made locally in our backyard, served on common ground, and available exclusively at Common Grounds😊. It'll be used for all drip coffee and espresso drinks.

We're SO excited to have a partner that is committed to ending hunger, building community and transforming lives just like we are.

Join us on Monday for tastings, giveaways, branded merchandise and more with folks from Backyard Beans and Common Grounds.

Backyard Beans will be here from 9am to 1pm, but you can come by any weekday from 9am to 1pm to try the new brew and tell us what you think!

We’ll be selling Common Grounds Brew in 12-ounce retail bags on Monday and every day moving forward.

Common Grounds Café is a social enterprise that supports Manna’s Common Grounds Training Program, our award-winning, free, 9-week workforce development program designed to move people living in economic instability to sustainable employment.

📍The café located inside North Penn Commons at 606 E. Main St. in Lansdale
⏰The café is open 9am-1pm, Monday through Friday

We have a few more improvements we'll be rolling out in the coming days, so stay tuned!

Common Grounds Brew is what we will now use for Common Grounds Catering events as well.

This all comes as we prepare to welcome Cohort #50 of Manna's Common Grounds Training Program and this fall celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the program!

To address the growing demand for food in our community, Manna shares the food donations we need most to keep our shelves stocked. As you do your grocery shopping, you can and help us fight hunger in the greater North Penn region.

Our most needed items are:

Ramen noodle soup
Tomato sauce
Canned tuna
Canned corn

We love all our volunteers, and we get really excited when new volunteers join in our mission of ending hunger. Manna has over 200 volunteer shifts that need to be filled each week by either individuals or groups!

We're grateful that youth from the Montbucks Islamic Community Center recently volunteered at our sit-down community meal. They also supported our Race to End Hunger. Together, we are creating a North Penn where no one is hungry.
