Seen, Known, and Remembered

“What is man, that You make so much of him, and that You set Your heart on him?” — Job 7:17

When life feels heavy and the mind grows loud, it’s easy to believe the lie that we’re forgotten. Loneliness can convince us that no one notices, no one cares, and even God has stepped back.

But Job 7:17 interrupts that lie with truth.

God doesn’t just glance at you — He sets His heart on you.
He doesn’t just acknowledge your existence — He thinks about you continually.
He doesn’t overlook your pain — He leans in with compassion.

Even on the days when you feel invisible, you are fully seen.
Even when you feel forgotten, you are deeply remembered.
Even when you feel alone, you are held by a God who never stops thinking about you.

Take confidence in this today:
Your life is on God’s mind, and your heart is on His heart.

The Lies We Believe, the Love That Pursues

“What man of you… does not leave the ninety‑nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?” — Luke 15:4

When we’re walking through mental health battles, grief, addiction, or seasons of deep discouragement, it’s easy to believe lies that feel true in the moment:

“I’m too much for God.”
“I’m the one He wouldn’t go after.”
“Everyone else deserves grace… not me.”
“If I’m struggling, I must be failing spiritually.”
“God is tired of rescuing me.”

But Jesus tells a different story.

He is the Shepherd who notices when you’re missing, who moves toward you when you wander, and who refuses to leave you behind. Your struggle doesn’t disqualify you. Your pain doesn’t make you a burden. Your questions don’t make you invisible.

If you feel like the one today — the one who’s anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, ashamed, or barely hanging on — hear this truth:

Jesus is already coming for you.
Not to scold you.
To carry you.
To bring you home with joy.

You are not forgotten.
You are not too far gone.
You are not the exception to His grace.

The End of Me Is the Start of Him

There are moments when all we can say is, “I can’t do this.” And honestly… that might be the most truthful thing you’ve said in a long time.

Because sometimes God allows us to reach the end of our strength so we can finally discover His.

Scripture says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 that His power is made perfect in weakness.
Not when we have it all together.
Not when we’re pretending to be strong.
But right at the breaking point — the place some people call “rock bottom.”

Heaven calls it the beginning of grace.

If today feels like too much, don’t assume you’re failing.
You might be standing in the exact place where God is ready to lift you, steady you, and carry what you can’t.

The end of you is not the end of the story.
It’s the start of Him.

When Jesus Calms What We Can’t (Mark 4:39)

One of the most overlooked truths in the story of Jesus calming the storm is this:
the disciples didn’t end the story with less fear — they ended it with different fear.

At first, they were terrified of the storm.
The waves.
The chaos.
The feeling of being overwhelmed and out of control.

That’s a picture many of us know well — especially in seasons of anxiety, depression, or emotional overload. When life feels like it’s crashing in, our instinct is often to push those feelings down, hide them, or pretend they’re not there.

But storms don’t disappear because we ignore them.
And emotions don’t heal because we suppress them.

In the boat, the disciples finally did the one thing we often struggle to do:
they brought their fear to Jesus.

And when He stood and calmed the storm, Scripture says they were filled with a new kind of fear — not panic, but awe.
Not dread, but reverence.
Not “I’m going to drown,” but “I’m not alone in this boat.”

Their fear was transferred — from the storm to the Savior.

That’s the invitation for us today.

Your emotions aren’t a sign of spiritual failure.
Your fear isn’t something God rolls His eyes at.
Your storm isn’t too loud for Him to speak into.

Strong feelings don’t need to be ignored.
They need to be brought to the One who can transform them.

When we do, the storm inside us may not vanish instantly…
but the center of our fear shifts.
And suddenly, the waves aren’t the biggest thing in the story anymore — Jesus is.

You Don’t Have to Be Okay for God to Be Close

Some days you wake up and the weight on your chest feels heavier than your own strength. You don’t feel spiritual. You don’t feel strong. You don’t feel like the “faith-filled” version of yourself you wish you could be.

But here’s the truth Scripture gives us:

Psalm 34:18 says that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Not when you finally pull yourself together.
Not when you feel more positive.
Not when you “get over it.”

He is near right now — in the heaviness, in the confusion, in the moments you don’t want anyone to see.

Your weakness doesn’t push God away.
Your honesty invites Him in.

If today feels like too much, you’re not failing. You’re exactly the kind of person God promises to draw close to.

God Has Not Forgotten You

There are seasons when the weight of life makes us wonder if God still sees us.
When anxiety is loud, when depression drains our strength, when prayers feel unanswered — it’s easy to believe the lie that we’ve slipped from His mind.

But Scripture tells a different story.

“I will not forget you.” — Isaiah 49:15

Those five words push back against every fear that whispers, “You’re alone. You’re overlooked. You don’t matter.”

God doesn’t forget His children.
Not on your darkest day.
Not in your deepest struggle.
Not when your emotions feel numb or your thoughts feel scattered.

Even when you feel lost, you are held.
Even when you feel unseen, you are known.
Even when you feel forgotten, you are remembered by the One who never lets go.

If today feels heavy, take heart — your name is written on His hands.
You are not forgotten. Not for a moment.

Encouraging Post on Restoring Marriages

Marriage was never meant to be a solo project. It’s a we, not a me. And when two people choose to fight together, healing becomes possible again.

Jesus reminds us in Mark 10:9 that “what God has joined together, let no one separate.” That’s not just a command — it’s a promise. God Himself is invested in your unity. He is for your covenant. He is present in your struggle. And He is powerful enough to rebuild what feels broken.

Restoration doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one surrendered moment at a time — choosing grace over blame, choosing prayer over pride, choosing teamwork over isolation.

If you’re in a season of rebuilding, take heart. God specializes in restoring what feels impossible. When you work together, invite Him into the process, and refuse to give up on each other, your marriage can become stronger than it ever was before.

You’re not fighting alone. God is holding the pieces, and He knows exactly how to put them back together.

Godly Grief vs. Worldly Grief — Why the Difference Matters

Sin doesn’t just break God’s heart — it breaks ours too. When we realize we’ve sinned, the emotions can feel heavy and tangled. Shame. Regret. A desire to be forgiven. A push to “just move on.” It’s a swirl that can leave us confused about what’s actually happening in our hearts.

2 Corinthians 7:10 reminds us that not all grief over sin is the same.

There is worldly grief — the kind that wants to avoid consequences, save face, or do damage control. It feels sorry, but it doesn’t transform. It leads us right back into the same patterns.

And then there is godly grief — the kind the Holy Spirit produces.
It doesn’t just want relief… it wants renewal.
It doesn’t just want to feel better… it wants to become different.
It leads to repentance, restoration, and a kind of salvation that protects us from repeating the same wounds in the future.

Godly grief is not about beating yourself up. It’s about letting the Holy Spirit counsel, correct, and reshape you so that healing becomes real and lasting.

If you’re wrestling with the weight of sin, unsure whether what you’re feeling is godly grief or worldly grief, you don’t have to sort that out alone. Our Transformed By Grace counselors and coaches are here to walk with you, help you discern what God is doing in your heart, and guide you toward true repentance and transformation.

Healing begins where honesty meets grace.
