Thanks to a 2026 grant from Philadelphia Foundation's Edna W. Andrade Fund, the first-ever retrospective of Philadelphia painter Moe Brooker is now open at Woodmere Art Museum 🎨
"Listen with Your Eyes: A Moe Brooker Retrospective" follows six decades of Brooker's work, from his early realist paintings to the vibrant, jazz-inspired abstraction that defined his career. You'll also find his sculptures, weavings, and sketchbooks.
A graduate of Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University, Brooker taught generations of artists throughout the region. His work is held in the collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is on display at the William J. Green Jr. Federal Building in Center City.
The Edna W. Andrade Fund champions the visual artists of Greater Philadelphia, supporting exhibitions that bring their work to wider audiences.
