CAPS Inc.

CAPS Inc. In 1985, I gave birth to our son Shane Burke. Shortly after, Shane was diagnosed with Lissencephaly, "a rare brain disease" and seizure disorder.. Mrs. INC.

Without adequate information or resources to meet their son's need, raising Shane became challenging. Shane became a member of Easter Seals family in Philadelphia where he attended summer camp for several years. This camp made a difference in Shane's life. Burke, the founder of C.A.P.S. worked at the summer camp for 16 years, four out of the sixteen years she worked as the Director of the camp

. Burke realize through the challenges, knowledge and experiences she gain through the years she wanted to help other parents .As a result, C.A.P.S. was founded 2013 and continues to offer advocacy, consultation and more for family member with a disability.
