Engine 99 participated in the 158th annual Doylestown Memorial Day Parade held on 5/25/2026 in the Borough of Doylestown.

We proudly displayed the rig along with Doylestown Fire Company No. 1.

Unique that Doylestown still has 3 pieces of apparatus in the area available for such events.

They include our rig, the 1923 Ahrens-Fox NS4 and the 1938 Hale (owned by the Tilley family.

We remember our past, looking to the future.

Thank you to Joe Cummings and his wife Megan Cummings (aka “The Newlyweds”) for manning the rig.

“Bar 99” has been in the works for several years. It is basically complete. From Beach Haven to Connecticut and back to Pennsylvania. It’s had quite a ride.

Thank you to everyone that had a hand in retrieving, constructing, wiring, creating, providing parts and imagining a way to preserve a part of Beach Haven history.

A plaque mounted on the Bar honors its legacy. Now time to enjoy it!

The plaque reads “Engine 1521, 1983 Hahn 1250gpm, 750 gals, Chassis HCP12.189.4.28.83, Pump 48793, Detroit 671, 5spd manual, Served Beach Haven Volunteer Fire Company from 1983 thru December 2012…Lost due to mechanical issues resulting from Hurricane Sandy in October 2012. Dedicated to all those that built, maintained and rode one of the “finest ever built””

It’s been a little over 10 years now since we brought “Engine 99” back to Doylestown.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that supports our adventure.

Words cannot express the profound amount of appreciation for all of you.

Hahn made it, Detroit shakes it and you all support it. Here’s to the next 10 years!
