🍀 4-H is going to Pawpaw Palooza! 💚

Join us at the Fair Amount Food Forest on Saturday, September 19 from 11–3 PM for a fun, hands-on Pawpaw Seed Saving activity with 4-H! 🍀

We’ll learn a little about this amazing native fruit, explore why saving seeds matters, and get those pawpaw seeds ready for their next adventure. 🌱

And there’s plenty more happening—pawpaw fruit and ice cream tasting, sweets, and a visit from Grand Pawpaw!

Anthony Evans, one of our Fox Chase 4-H Livestock Club's alumni is in need of support from our 4-H community. Anthony is gravely ill.
He is 27 years old and was a member with our club for many years, along with his younger siblings. Anthony raised goats and a steer. According to his club leaders, he was the most respectful, polite, and hard-working young man. He worked very hard raising his animals and with any work that was needed on the farm. He, along with his parents, were a staple on Saturday mornings at the farm and gave their all with fundraising events.

Anthony has suffered a heart attack and has had three major surgeries over the last few years. He had to be moved from a hospital in Philadelphia to one in New York City with the hopes of putting him on a heart transplant list. A Go Fund Me Page has been established to help with Anthony's mounting medical expenses and alleviate some of the financial burden of his parents having to travel back and forth to see him.

Want to explore what STEM is all about? Then sign up for Innovation Station: STEM Exploration Day! This is a regional event that will be held on August 5th at the Berks County Ag Center in Leesport. We have two guest speakers joining us for experiments, hands on activities, and to talk about their work in this field. Registration is required through ZSuite by August 1st.
