The meeting will be held at the
Bridesburg-Lawton VFW Post
which is located at 4638 Richmond Street. Our guest speakers will
discuss the history of historical
crafts which people continue to
create and how their popularity
has continued into modern times.
Everyone is invited to attend.
Admission is free and refreshments
are served. If someone would like to join the group, the dues for the year
are $10.00 . Memberships can be
completed at the meeting

The. Bridesburg historical society
Will meet on Wednesday, March 11th at 7:00 at the Bridesburg VFW Post on Richmond Street. Our guest speaker will be sister Barbara Jean Wojnicki who is a sister of the holy family of Nazareth. She will speak on the holy Martyrs of world war II who were holy family sisters who gave their lives
Everyone is invited to attend and there is no admission fee. Refreshments will be served.

Here is a reminder to our members and potential members that we will meet on Wednesday, April.9th at 7PM at Bridesburg VFW 4638 RICHMOND STREET
Be prepared for a lively evening of discussion about the most famous sunken ship in history followed by a sharing of how our ancestors traveled to the USA and ended up in Bridesburg.
We will munch on the type of desserts served to all classes on the ship.
Bring your best stories and enthusiasm.in your luggage. Life Jackers not required!

The monthly meeting of the Bridesburg Historical Society is WEDNESDAY APRIL 10th 7 PM at the VFW Post2 at 4638 Richmond St. Refreshments will be served.

Our guest speaker:
David Young will discuss The Battles of Germantown: Effective Public History in America, about the last hundred years of preservation and memory in America’s most historic neighborhood, including Revolutionary War sites, the Underground Railroad, and pathbreaking examples of community engagement as the neighborhood evolved along with the field of public history.

Dr. Young served as executive director of Cliveden, the Johnson House Historic Site, and the Delaware Historical Society. He has earned numerous awards for his work in public history.
He will sign copies of his book, which was awarded the 2020 Klein Prize from the Pennsylvania Historical Association.
