We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible generosity and spirit our community has shown this season. Your support directly fuels the impactful work we do together. We are deeply proud of the many initiatives currently underway in service to our community, which include:

Civic Traditions: Hosting our Inaugural City Hall Eid Dinner, our signature City Hall Iftar Dinners, and our Eid in the Park Festivals. These events have become driving forces in our community, bringing thousands of Philadelphians together in celebration and unity.

Youth & Education: We are currently gearing up for our Spring and Fall Afterschool Programs, which empower our youth through financial literacy, civic education, and cultural competency. This year we partnered with Al Aqsa Islamic Academy, supporting their Eid Al Fitr celebration and providing gifts to their 1st- and 2nd-grade students.

University & Healthcare Partnerships: Collaborating with the Drexel Muslim Student Association to co-sponsor toy drives for Muslim children hospitalized at CHOP, and sponsoring Iftars for the Temple Muslim Student Association and Temple Muslim Medical Students.

The PREF Giving Circle: Ensuring no one is left behind during the holidays by outfitting entire families for Eid through our partnership with Tooba Bookstore and Fashions, fulfilling Amazon wish lists, and providing comprehensive family meals.

Meals on Wheels & Family Fun Program: Launched during the 2020 pandemic, this program continues to bring Eid celebrations directly to the doorsteps of those in need.

Compassionate Outreach: Partnering with the Elevation Project for “Iftar Beyond the Walls” at the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center, extending our reach and support to the most vulnerable members of our community.

POSTPONEMENT UPDATE: A Historic Pivot! 🌙❄️

Earlier this week, we shared that due to the continued snow emergency in Philadelphia, we have made the decision to postpone our City Hall Iftar for the safety of our community. We know, the forecast has since changed. But with this shift comes a historic new milestone.

We are officially pivoting to the Inaugural Eid Dinner at City Hall! ✨

IMPORTANT: Philadelphia City Hall Iftar Postponement & Announcement of Inaugural Eid Dinner

Due to the continued inclement weather forecast and the current snow emergency in Philadelphia, the 13th Annual City Hall Iftar Dinner is being postponed. The safety of our guests and community remains our absolute priority.

We are excited to pivot this celebration to a historic new milestone: the Inaugural Eid Dinner at City Hall, now scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2026.

All current tickets and sponsorships will be automatically honored for the March 27th date.
