For kids who keep their feelings locked inside, who shut down when someone asks how they are doing, or who just are not ready to talk, Healing Connections meets them exactly where they are. Through art, movement, and creative activities, children find a way to let it out without having to explain it.

No therapy couch. No uncomfortable questions. No cost. Just a safe, creative space where kids can breathe, create, and connect with others who get it.

This is it. The final race of the Spring 2026 season is THIS SUNDAY. 🏁

All season long, these kids have shown up, laced up, and given everything they have. Week after week at Subaru Park, we have watched them grow in confidence, push past what they thought they could do, and cross that finish line with a smile that says it all.

Sunday is the last chance to be part of it. If your child has not run with us yet this season, same-day registration is open. Come join us for one last afternoon of racing, cheering, and post-race treats to celebrate an incredible spring season.

Tomorrow, we are taking over Access Community Center, and you are invited. 🎉

Here is what is happening:

🕓 4:00 PM: Jovonne's Healing Center for Kids kicks things off. A healing-centered space designed just for children. Free. Fun. And exactly what kids need.

🕔 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM: Camp Encouragement Open House. Come meet our founder, learn about this summer's program, ask your questions, and register your child on the spot. Whether you are already signed up or just curious, you are welcome.

Loss looks different for every child. The death of a loved one, a family change, or even the loss of a beloved pet. Whatever your child has been carrying, there is a place for them here.

Two programs. One evening. All free.

If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 12 who has experienced loss and you have been wondering if Camp Encouragement is the right fit, tomorrow night is your chance to find out in person.

Mother's Day looks different for everyone.

For some, it is a celebration filled with family, laughter, and gratitude. For others, it is a quiet day of remembering someone who is no longer here. For many, it is both at the same time, joy and loss, sitting side by side in a way that is hard to put into words.

Today, we want every person in our community to know they are seen, whatever this day holds for them.

To the mothers working tirelessly for their children. To the grandmothers, aunts, godmothers, and women who stepped into a mothering role without being asked and never stepped away. To those carrying loss today with a heavy heart. You are all honored.

Our community has shown up for these kids. And we are so close.

Camp Encouragement 2026 is at $12,485 of our $20,000 goal. More than halfway there. But we still need you.

The children coming to Camp Encouragement this year have lived through things no child should face. They have lost parents and loved ones to illness, addiction, incarceration, and gun violence. Some have never once had access to a counselor. Some have never had a space where they could just breathe, just play, just be a child.

That is what Camp Encouragement gives them. Three weeks of free professional counseling. Joyful activities and experiences. A community that holds them while they heal. All at no cost to their families.

These children are in our community. They are our neighbors. They deserve our support right now.
