Animal Relief Foundation Aruba ARF-Aruba is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit rescuing dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. We can also transport age appropriate animals to the U.S.

ARF-Aruba is committed to working to eliminate the street dog population of Aruba through sterilization, education, and local adoption.

Thank you for your generosity!🙏

Alva made it onto the Copa Airlines cargo plane in Aruba this morning, and is sleeping in Panama tonight, as she jets toward JFK tomorrow. We extend a huge thank you to all donors and supporters who so generously helped us reach our fundraising goal to make sure that we covered Alva's plane ticket and flight expenses.

Alva will live in New Hampshire with fosters Maya and Jeff, and will be available for adoption as soon as she is settled. We know that she will miss her Aruba fosters Jackye and Rob, who took such good care of her, getting her ready for a forever family.

“The wounds of the past fade in the presence of a puppy’s unconditional love.”

Hansel, male, and Gretel, female, are 2 beauties that were dumped in the colony. There was no mama dog around. Kris and Chris were feeding them, and then Crijojo Trappers caught them, only to sterilize them and offer medical care including vaccinations. Hansel and Gretel currently live with foster Louella as they practice their socialization skills to be ready for adoption. These cuties are 5 months old, sterilized, and vaccinated. Hansel and Gretel will be available either in Aruba or in the U.S.

“There is no love like the love of a brother. There is no love like the love from a brother.”

Brothers Sampson now Xander and T-Rex now Diggs were 2 of the 6 “under the house” puppies belonging to Mama Cherry that were rescued by Chris and Kris in Aruba. Joyce, Jason, and Jim chose Xander first in December of 2025, and then chose Diggs later that month, to join their family. Xander and Diggs are now a year and 3 months old. They are living their best lives as they enjoy car rides and even boat rides. Not only do Xander and Diggs love the out of doors, but they can also add lounging around the home to their resumés. Jim says that they have their moments, but for the most part they do well together. We are so happy seeing these beautiful boys with such a loving and caring family in the U.S.

Straight outta Aruba!

Rachell needs some help. Her 3 year old family dog gave birth to 10 puppies. The pups are now about 3 months old. She has found homes for half of them, but she has 5 left. Even 5 puppies in her home is a lot to maintain. The pups are healthy, happy, and have age appropriate vaccinations at this point.

So! Meet adorable Rocky, Oreo Blanco, Tottiana, Titanium, and Tiger. If you are interested in adopting one of these little sweethearts, and you live on the island, contact Rachell at 297.744.4073. She can answer any questions that you have, and can give you more information. You can also DM/PM ARF-Aruba, and we will be in touch with Rachell. If you choose to give one of these cuties a forever home, let us know when the pup is old enough to be sterilized, and we will take care of it for you.

Show us your dogs - 🤩

Every second Sunday in September is National Hug Your Hound Day, and a day to celebrate the bond between dogs and owners. Recognizing this day promotes canine health, safety, and happiness. It is a special day to honor the loyal, loving dogs who have come into our lives. This is a special time to shower our furry family canines with affection, treats, and extra playtime. Show them how special they are by taking a long walk, teaching them a new trick, or simply snuggling up on the sofa and giving them extra hugs. Spend quiet time sitting with your dog at floor level. Ensure that their environment is warm, comforting, inviting, and safe.

Above all, give your hounds those extra hugs!

Maria met Kiki now Tiffany in foster Susan’s home, and fell in love. Kiki was fostered by Jedelyn in Aruba, and then she went back to Veterinary Clinics Aruba in Wayaca. Maartje took over fostering just before she flew to the states to move in with foster Susan after a short foster visit with Barbie. Phew! Kiki was a well-traveled kitty! We extend a huge thank you to all fosters who had a hand in Kiki’s care. Dawn and Cary gave Kiki a lift to the states, and we are grateful for their willingness to volunteer. Foster Susan said that in her home, Kiki was a sweetheart who gave kisses, and loved attention. She would purr when she got the attention she craved. Above all, she enjoyed being playful. Maria was looking for a young kitty, and she didn’t mind if it was a male or female. She had no particular color in mind, either. Maria has such a love for animals, and wanted another cat after losing Max and Patrice both to cancer. She missed them so much, and decided it was time to add a kitty back to her home, thus choosing this beautiful little girl, and calling her Tiffany. Maria’s newest furry family member, Tiffany, has one canine sibling in the home called Rocky. We’re sure Rocky and Tiffany will become fast friends!
