Join Best of Philly 2026 winner Plantie Mame — the Diva of Dirt herself — for a Plant Swap + Positivity‑Pot Party!
September 12, 2026 • 12–2 PM • Pride Visitor Center

Bring your brightest and healthiest plant cuttings (no pests, please) to trade, connect, and grow your Philly community circle. If you don’t have a cutting to swap, you can take home a new plant with a donation to the cause of the day - all funds raised at this event support Philadelphia Family Pride and The Pride Visitor Center.

Everyone can make-and-take a Positivity‑Pot with personally-selected stickers and sayings. We’re also kicking off National Indoor Plants Week (Sept 14–20) and celebrating how live plants boost mood, creativity, and well‑being.

About Plantie Mame

Wissahickon Forest Hike and Picnic - Sunday, August 9
Join us for a family-friendly hike and picnic at the Wissahickon Environmental Center.

We’ll meet at 11:00 a.m. in the lower parking lot for the Wissahickon Environmental Center, accessible from Northwestern Avenue. Please use 200 W. Northwestern Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 for directions and then follow the gravel path to the Environmental Center. We’ll gather briefly there and begin hiking at 11:15 a.m.

We plan to hike the Forest Loop, approximately 1.5 miles through wooded, uneven trails. The route may include hills, roots, rocks, and muddy areas, so closed-toe shoes are recommended.

After the hike, we’ll return to our cars to pick up picnic lunches, blankets, and folding chairs, then set up nearby. This is an informal picnic, so no picnic area is reserved, and available space will be used on a first-come basis.

Join us for a relaxed day at Atlantic City Beach on Sunday, September 6th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

The beach is free to access, has porta potties, and allows coolers, so pack your own lunch, snacks, and drinks (there’s no food for sale!).

We’ll meet at the only lifeguard stand on the beach. If you have trouble finding the group, call or text Zach 412-605-4701 or Sasha 917-837-6285.

Bring your sunscreen, towel, and beach vibes! See you there.☀️

What a wonderful weekend at Evansburg State Park! 🏕️🌈

This year’s camping trip may have helped us find our future home base for Philadelphia Family Pride camping adventures, and we couldn’t be more excited.

A huge thank you to Robbie, Sasha, and Zach for helping plan the weekend, and to Jess for jumping in with the team to organize our covered gathering spaces. Special thanks to Robbie for coordinating logistics and organizing our group meals.

It was especially exciting to welcome new families this year! Watching our community grow and seeing everyone connect in nature is what these weekends are all about.

We hope even more families can join us next year! 💚🏳️‍🌈

The PFP board won’t be tucked behind a plastic folding table this weekend, we’re going to be out in the crowd celebrating! But we still really want to see you all, so we’re turning Philly Pride into a giant game of “Where’s the Board”.

If you’re going to be out, take a look to see who will be attending from our board. To make it a little easier to spot us in a massive crowd, will be wearing or carrying something distinct and ridiculous (think giant bubble wands, neon cowboy hats, or light-up necklaces).

If you see any of us wandering around, please come run up and say hi!

Every time you find a board member and tell them hello, they’ll take your name and email down to put you into a raffle for a gift card. Want a bonus entry? Take a quick picture with us and tag PFP on social media! 📸

Stay hydrated, and have an amazing Pride weekend! We’ll see you out there. ❤️

🌈✨ What an incredible day! ✨🌈

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing drag performers for bringing so much joy, energy, laughter, and sparkle to the stage. You made this event truly unforgettable! 👑💖

Thank you to our wonderful co-hosts—The Dandelion Project, ZoomDance Philly, and Philadelphia Family Pride! We love creating spaces where families can come together, celebrate, and be their authentic selves. We’re so grateful to have been part of this special day.

To all the families who joined us, thank you for showing up, supporting this event, and bringing your enthusiasm and love. And to the kids, your fabulous outfits, creativity, confidence, and drag royalty names absolutely stole the show! 🌟👑🌈

🎉🎉 The turnout and support exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Kids Drag Brunch such a success. We can’t wait to do it again! 💖🌈✨
