ASID is the largest community of designers, industry leaders, educators and students committed to advancing interior design. What do ASID Interior Designers Do?

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is the largest residential and commercial membership organization for interior designers. Pennsylvania East Chapter of the ASID is one of forty-eight chapters located in the United States. ASID National is headquartered in Washing, DC, and provides more than 30,000 members with ongoing resources, education, and support. ASID interior designers work

with residential and commercial clients. They listen to client needs, examine options, the provide the right feeling and environment the client desired. The Pennsylvania East Chapter offers two avenues for the client community to get introduced to ASID interior Designers. The Chapter Referral Service and the Designer Consulting Service have been setup for introductory services. Why are ASID designers most qualified? Professional members of the ASID have qualified for membership acceptance through a combination of education, experience, and examinations. The National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) is the two-day accreditation examination.

We are excited to welcome Julianne J Peters from Design Success Network & Louis Iannone from Eimer Design as this year’s keynote speakers for our 8th Annual ASIDxIIDAxNEWH Student Career Day!

Julianne J Peters, Founder and Lead Instructional Designer at Design Success Network, is a certified interior designer, architect-in-training, and educator based in Philadelphia PA. Julianne is a Past President of the IIDA PA/NJ/DE Chapter and the founder of Design Success Network which provides affordable and accessible NCIDQ exam prep resources. She teaches architecture and design at universities in Philadelphia and works as a freelance designer.

Louis Iannone, Directors of Design at Eimer Design, is a detail-driven designer with over a decade of experience across hospitality, workplace, and aviation. With a background in the service industry, he approaches programming and space planning with a strong understanding of user experience. Louis was named to Boutique Design’s B18 Class in 2024, and helped lead Eimer Design to multiple awards in 2025. He is active in ASID, IIDA, and NEWH, and serves on the Advisory Board for Thomas Jefferson University.

Breakout Sessions:
We heard your feedback and breakout sessions are back again covering nearly every sector of interior design! Whether you’re interested in residential, workplace, hospitality, healthcare, preservation, or teaching interior design at a university, we have industry leaders ready to share their experiences. All regional undergraduate and graduate design students are invited to the 8th Annual Student Career Day at the Global Furniture Group Philadelphia Showroom. This event provides a valuable opportunity to connect with industry professionals, including designers, manufacturer representatives, developers, and firm leaders. Attendees will hear from keynote speakers Louis Iannone with and Julianne Peters with , participate in breakout sessions exploring various design sectors, and receive 1-on-1 portfolio and resume reviews. The day will conclude with a networking reception, allowing students to engage with industry experts and peers.
