Come and take classes, or offer classes, on a free/donation basis that promote practices of peace, healing, sustainability, social justice, ecology, and civil disobedience at 5007 Cedar Avenue in West Philadelphia. Everything from weekly meditation sits, yoga classes, gardening, healing exchanges, social justice workshops, Non-violent communication classes, sacred birthing, healthy cooking, green

building, and more is offered at the center. All classes are offered on Dana, which translates as generosity so all people regardless of their financial status can come and learn here. In exchange for services/classes at the center we accept time, goods, money, or nothing at all. What is most important to us is that all people have access to teachings and classes that promote love with ourselves, each other, the world at large, and the Earth and its creatures.

Thank you to everyone who continues to practice at Ahimsa House - the experiment with gift economy has had its ups and downs; the garden still thrives along with a couple of other opportunities.

We continue to build off of our core principles for our church:
+Ahimsa: economic, emotional or physical nonviolence to self, other & the land
+Dana: the practice of generosity- giving OR receiving without wanting anything in return
+Metta: unbound compassion or unconditional love
