Sweet celebrations at TCHH! 🎂🧁

Our participants recently celebrated a birthday in the best way possible, by baking and decorating cakes and cupcakes together! From measuring ingredients and following directions to frosting, decorating, and sharing ideas, everyone worked as a team to make the day extra special.

Activities like these help build important life skills such as communication, cooperation, problem-solving, fine motor skills, and independence, all while having fun and creating meaningful friendships. The smiles, laughter, and creativity made for a wonderful celebration and even sweeter memories.

Today is a time to reflect with gratitude, spend time with loved ones, and appreciate the freedoms we enjoy because of those who served. We are thankful for the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our fallen heroes and their families.

🎃 THIS IS BIGGER THAN A YARD HAUNT 🎃

After years of building scares, memories, and community right here at our home… this will officially be the LAST year of Croydon Haunted Hollows in our yard.

And honestly? That’s both heartbreaking and exciting.

We’ve outgrown the space because the mission became so much bigger than we ever imagined.

What started as a neighborhood haunt turned into a movement of inclusion, community, and proving that Halloween should be for EVERYONE.

Through our Mellow Monsters Initiative, we want to help bring sensory-friendly haunted experiences to haunts across the entire country… but to continue growing, we need a new home and the right partnership.

We are actively looking to partner with a professional haunt near us that believes in both the scares AND the heart behind what we do.

Pizza success! 🍕👩‍🍳

One of our participants teamed up with her DSP to make homemade pizza, and the results looked delicious! From preparing the ingredients to and baking, this activity was a great way to build independence, practice kitchen skills, and have fun together.

Moments like these are what it’s all about: learning new skills, building confidence, and creating meaningful connections along the way.

🌼🛍️ A trip to Peddler’s Village is always a group favorite! 🛍️🌼

Our participants had a wonderful time exploring the shops, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and spending time together in the community. From browsing unique stores to sharing lots of laughs along the way, it was a day full of fun, friendship, and new memories!

We love opportunities like these that encourage community participation, social connection, and enjoying all our local community has to offer. 💛

🎣 Fish-for-Free Day is Coming Up

This Sunday, May 24, is the first of two Fish-for-Free Days in Pennsylvania, courtesy of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The second Fish-for-Free Day will take place on July 4.

On these special days, anyone — residents and visitors alike — can fish without a license. No Trout/Salmon or Lake Erie permits are required either.

Grab your fishing gear, head outdoors, and enjoy Pennsylvania’s waterways with family and friends. Whether you’re an experienced angler or trying fishing for the first time, it’s a great opportunity to spend time outside and explore local streams, lakes, and rivers.

⚠️ Important Health Advisory: The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a “Do Not Eat” advisory for all fish caught in Neshaminy Creek. Please fish responsibly and stay informed about local conditions.

🌱☀️ Garden Club has been hard at work! ☀️🌱

Our participants have been busy planting, watering, weeding, and caring for our garden beds, and we’re so excited to watch everything grow! 🪴🍅🌼 These photos highlight some of the amazing progress being made in our different garden beds and all the teamwork that goes into keeping the garden thriving.

Garden Club is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills, build friendships, and be part of something meaningful in the community. 💚
