Social enterprise and social entrepreneurship is the greatest way to have a positive social impact, protect and advance the environment, grow the economy, and have a positive social impact - People, Place, Profit. Econology, as referred to by Eduardo Athayde, the General Director of Bahia’s Atlantic Forest Open University, is the synthesis of ecology, sociology and economics, and must be used as t

he basis for creating an economy that is both socially and ecologically sustainable. We, like Eduardo Athayde, believe that this is “the central challenge facing humanity in the new millennium,” which is why we prepare teens and millennials to become econologists. Like social entrepreneurship, econology has a triple bottom line, but requires that people to become experts at simultaneously solving the Earth’s largest environmental, economic, and social issues.
