A prayer request from our child sponsorship church partner for the community affected:

We request your prayers for the members and neighbors of the Church of the Nazarene de Villanueva, in the South Eastern Central District of Honduras.
Sadly, a heavy truck suffered mechanical malfunctions and lost control, impacting at least seven homes. This tragic accident has left several people dead and others seriously injured.
Let's pray in a special way for Pastor Johan, who also serves on the MNC District Team. He is currently at the scene providing support, comfort and companionship to the affected families.
We also lift up our prayers for each of the families who have suffered this tragedy, for those who were injured, for those who have lost their loved ones and for the congregation of Villanueva Church of the Nazarene, as there are members who are among those affected.
May God pour out His peace, strength and comfort over each person and family in the midst of this difficult situation.
Let us join together in prayer, believing that the Lord is our refuge and help in times of need. 🙏❤️

We believe that marriage is between a man and woman and that God blessed and said to them to "Be fruitful and multiply" (Genesis 1:28 ESV). However, as sin entered the world, so did pain, grief, and separation. Not every family looks stable from the outside. Not every child grows up with both parents present. On International Family Day, we remember the families marked by grief, separation, sickness, sacrifice, and perseverance.

We also give thanks for every mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or guardian who continues caring for a child with love. And most importantly, the promise that God adopts every believer into His family through His Son!

Some mothers carry both grief and responsibility at the same time. This Mother’s Day, we honor the mothers in Ukraine who are doing their best to raise children after their husbands went missing in action or gave their lives defending their homeland . May the Lord sustain them, comfort them, and strengthen them.
