PAL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to "Cops Helping Kids". http://www.phillypal.com

PAL serves thousands of girls and boys at its youth-development centers, completely FREE of charge. PAL is “Cops Helping Kids.” We aspire to be the premier youth-serving organization in the city, by reducing crime, promoting character development, and improving educational outcomes. We do this by having Philadelphia Police Officers, supported by civilians, offer sports and other programs to youth in 17 centers in some of the city’s highest crime and lowest income neighborhoods. PAL Centers are safe havens, offering a variety of programs and other events to attract, engage, and develop more than 18,000 of Philadelphia’s youth.

We had an amazing time at the Back-to-School Gaming Event, hosted by the Philadelphia Police Department!

From video game tournaments and board games to face painting, haircuts, balloon art, and backpack giveaways, there was something for everyone. 🎈🎮

Big thanks to Tools For School for donating the backpacks, and everyone who came out and helped make this event so special! 💙

What a night at the ballpark! ⚾❤️

The rain didn’t stop us from having the best time at our annual PAL Night at the Phillies! Our kids had a blast cheering on the Phillies and Saleem McCullen from Grays Ferry PAL even got to throw out the ceremonial first pitch!

To top it all off, PAL Officer Holmes was recognized as the Hometown Hero of the Game, a well-deserved honor for his dedication to our community.

A huge thank you to our amazing sponsors and supporters for making experiences like this possible: Jeff and Lanie Hendrey, NECA, Vince and Norma Giannini, Aramark, Liberty Coca-Cola, and Mayor Cherelle Parker.

And many thanks to our board members, friends, Phillies team, staff, and everyone who came out to support us! We’re proud to build a stronger community, one experience at a time 💙
