West Park Community! DANCELOGIC is a West Philly program for young women ages 10 through teens that brings together two powerful forms of expression: dance and computer coding.

Students develop original choreography while building real-world coding skills, progressing from foundational concepts to advanced programming and web development. Along the way, they build confidence, focus, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and a stronger sense of agency in STEAM.

The experience culminates in a live performance at the annual West Park Arts Fest, giving students the opportunity to share what they’ve created with their community.

Dance is a big part of the DanceLogic experience.

In DanceLogic, students work with their team and teaching artist to create, learn, and move together. Their choreography becomes part of a larger creative process that connects dance, coding, and technology.

This rehearsal clip is just one glimpse of the teamwork, creativity, and confidence being built along the way.
