🎉 Pennsylvania is showing up for school safety!

We’re excited to announce that 46% of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are already represented at this year’s PASRO Conference!

Every registration represents another professional committed to building safer schools through training, collaboration, and the sharing of best practices. Whether you’re a School Resource Officer, School Police Officer, School Security Personnel, educator, or school safety partner, your experience makes us all stronger.

If your county isn’t on the map yet, there’s still time! Let’s see if we can push past the halfway mark and bring together representatives from every corner of the Commonwealth.

📍 We can’t wait to see everyone in Lancaster!

PASRO would like to extend our deepest sympathies over the loss of SRO Yeager. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Central Berks Police, the Boyertown School District, and all those who know and love Officer Yeager.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.

Learning never stops in school safety.

Today PASRO is at Upper Dublin School District alongside Raptor Technologies, listening to Michele Gay and participating in a Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) tabletop exercise. These conversations and exercises challenge us to think critically, strengthen collaboration, and continue sharpening the skills needed to support safer schools.

No matter our experience level or role, we can all continue learning and refining our craft. Strong school safety is not built by standing still. It is built through partnerships, practice, and a commitment to growth.

Thank you to Michele Gay and everyone involved in creating opportunities for meaningful discussion and continued professional development.

Congratulations SRO Denton!!!!!!

NASRO is honored to recognize SRO Nicholas Denton of the Prospect Park Police Department (Pennsylvania) as the Exceptional Service Award winner for Region 3. Region 3 includes Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware.

Nicholas Denton is recognized for his proactive leadership, investigative excellence, and lasting impact on school safety and community trust. Since re-establishing his department’s School Resource Officer position in 2022 after a decade-long absence, Denton has built a model program grounded in prevention, education, and rapid response. He has strengthened district-wide preparedness by training staff in the ALICE Program and further advanced the profession by developing a Field Training Officer program for SROs.

Denton’s investigative work has been equally impactful—successfully resolving a double attempted child abduction, a school bombing/active shooter threat, and a road rage incident involving a firearm and juvenile victims—demonstrating sound judgment under pressure and a steadfast commitment to protecting youth. He also invests daily in prevention and mentorship by teaching students about substance abuse, leading hands-on mock crime scenes for forensic science classes, and delivering professional development on emerging drug trends.

Congratulations Officer Denton!
