지난 토요일에 열린 2026년 우리센터 후원의 밤 “더불어 힘차게(Stronger Together)” 행사에 200명이 넘는 분들이 자리를 가득 채워주신 가운데 성황리에 마무리되었습니다. ✨

특히 여러분의 따뜻한 성원과 후원 덕분에 이번 갈라의 모금 목표액이었던 3만 달러($30,000)를 공식적으로 달성했다는 기쁜 소식을 전합니다! 우리 커뮤니티의 회복력을 축하하고, 미래를 향한 공동의 비전과 희망을 다시 한번 확인하며, 자리를 빛내주시고 소중한 후원으로 함께해 주신 모든 분께 깊은 감사의 인사를 드립니다.

이날 행사는 우리 커뮤니티의 강력한 연대를 보여준 뜻깊은 시간이었습니다. 앤디 강(Andy Kang)님의 마음을 울리는 기조 연설을 통해 참석자 모두가 이민자 정의를 위한 투쟁에 앞장서겠다는 “우리센터 더불어 힘차게(Stronger Together) 서약”을 자랑스럽게 외쳤습니다. ✊

또한, 멋진 공연으로 축제의 기쁨과 활기찬 에너지를 더해준 출연진께 깊이 감사드립니다. 무엇보다 보이지 않는 곳에서 헌신적으로 땀 흘려주신 최고의 자원봉사자분들이 계셨기에 이 시간이 가능했습니다. 🙌

누구도 소외되지 않는 더욱 공정하고 정의로운 펜실베이니아를 향한 여정에 다시 힘찬 발걸음을 내딛습니다. 우리는 함께할 때 더 강하기 때문입니다! 더불어 힘차게!

Thank you for an incredible night! Last Saturday’s 2026 “Stronger Together” GALA was an absolute success, bringing together over 200 attendees for an unforgettable evening. ✨

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to your incredible generosity, we officially met our fundraising goal of $30,000!We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed and joined us to celebrate our community's resilience, reaffirming our shared vision and hope for the future.

The evening was a powerful demonstration of community solidarity. Alongside our inspiring keynote speaker, Andy Kang, we proudly took the “Woori Center Stronger Together Pledge,” renewing our collective commitment to the fight for immigrant justice. ✊

The night was also filled with joy and vibrant energy, thanks to our fantastic performers, and it was all made possible by the dedication of our incredible volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. 🙌

🎉 이민가정의 자랑스러운 딸이자 스와스모어 대학교 입학을 앞둔 케이스 융 (Cais Yeung) 학생이 2026년 제1회 우리 희망 장학금의 첫 수상자로 선정되었습니다! 진심으로 축하합니다!
케이스는 가족의 통역사이자 문화적 길잡이 역할을 하며 겪은 어려움들을 지역사회를 위한 열정으로 승화시켰습니다. 고등학교 재학 시절에는 아시아계 미국인으로서의 뿌리를 바탕으로, 유권자들의 투표 참여를 독려하고, 활발한 클럽활동으로 리더십을 키웠으며, 위사히컨 학구에서 설날을 공식 공휴일로 지정하는 캠페인을 성공적으로 이끌어 냈습니다.

🎉 Huge congratulations to Cais Yeung, a proud daughter of an immigrant family and an incoming student at Swarthmore College, for being named the first-ever recipient of the 2026 Woori Hope Scholarship!
Growing up as her family’s translator and cultural navigator, Cais transformed her personal challenges into a deep passion for community service. Throughout high school, she drew strength from her Asian American roots to register voters, build leadership through student clubs, and successfully lead a campaign to establish Lunar New Year as an official school holiday in the Wissahickon School District.
We are absolutely thrilled to honor her incredible journey and bright future at our Stronger Together Gala tomorrow, June 6! 🌟✨

2026 우리센터 갈라 “더불어힘차게”가 어느덧 3일 앞으로 다가왔습니다! 오늘은 수상자인 몽코 커뮤니티 와치(MontCo Community Watch)를 소개합니다.

몽코 커뮤니티 워치(MCW)를 축하합니다! ⚖️ 위헌적인 이민세관집행국(ICE)의 활동에 맞서기 위해 2025년에 결성된 이 풀뿌리 네트워크는 이민자 가족들에게 필수적인 자원을 제공하고 100건이 넘는 ICE 활동을 추적하며 취약한 이웃들을 보호합니다. 또한, 웰커밍 62(Welcoming 62) 캠페인을 통해 몽고메리 카운티 내 62개 지자체가 ICE와 협력하는 것을 막기 위해 활발히 움직이고 있으며, 이미 첼튼햄(Cheltenham)과 나버스(Narberth) 등 지방 자치단체에서 ICE 비협조 결의안을 이끌어내는 소중한 성과를 거두었으며, 이외에도 8개 지자체에서 유사한 정책 도입을 이루어 내며, 모두가 안전하게 공존할 수 있는 지속 가능한 환경과 연대를 우리센터와 함께 만들어가고 있습니다.

Celebrating MontCo Community Watch! ⚖️ Formed in 2025 to counter unconstitutional ICE activity, this grassroots network protects vulnerable neighbors with vital resources and tracking 100+ ICE activities. Through "Welcoming 62" campaign, they are actively working to prevent ICE collaboration across Montgomery County's 62 municipalities—securing victories of vital non-ICE cooperation resolutions in local municipalities like Cheltenham and Narberth while leading introduction of similar policies in 8 other municipalities. Together, we are building lasting safety and solidarity for all residents.

고(故) 신디 레비(Cyndy Levy)님을 기억합니다. ⚖️ 신디는 이민자 가정들이 매우 힘들었던 2017년 Immigrant Rights Action Doylestown에 합류해 단체의 이민자 지원활동의 방향을 잡고, 이민자 법정 동행 프로그램을 이끌었습니다. 그녀는 VISTA 프로그램을 통해 미국 법무부(DOJ) 공인을 획득하며 이민자 커뮤니티를 위한 활동을 확장해 나갔습니다. 우리센터와 함께 소상공인 고용주와 직원들을 대상으로 한 이민자 권리 알기 교육, 몽고메리카운티의 결의안 통과에 힘썼습니다. 이웃을 위해 헌신한 옹호자였던 신디와 함께 할 수 있어 영광이었습니다.

In loving memory of the late Cyndy Levy. ⚖️
In 2017, a deeply challenging time for immigrant families, Cyndy joined Immigrant Rights Action Doylestown. She played a pivotal role in guiding the direction of the organization’s advocacy and led its immigrant court accompaniment program. Through the VISTA program, she went on to earn her Department of Justice (DOJ) accreditation, expanding her vital work for the immigrant community.

Alongside Woori Center, she dedicated her efforts to Know Your Rights education for small business owners and workers, and successfully campaigned for the passage of the welcoming resolution in Montgomery County. It was a profound honor to work alongside Cyndy, a passionate advocate who dedicated her life to her neighbors.
