Hey guys! It’s Haven here! His leg is not broken!! BUT there is a severe infection which you can see in the picture. He is going to have the leg amputated on Tuesday (10-20). The price of it is anywhere between $400-600. We have raised a little bit towards this procedure but it will still cost an arm…

We got a SOS message last night from our friends over at Wildlife Works Inc.

Someone had brought in a bunny with a broken leg who they figured was a wild bun! But, as it turns out the little guy is domestic. So, we drove over and picked him up. He is a little baby, probably only 12 weeks old.

We have named him Haven because Wildlife Works provided him a safe Haven until we could get to him.

This is now 2 buns that will likely need their legs amputated. We need donations more than anything right now. $1 from each of you would help immensely.

A WIN FOR THE BUNNIES!

Friends, this is what happens when a community comes together for animal welfare!

When we learned that rabbits might be sold at the new Family Farm and Home in Latrobe, we spoke up, shared our concerns, and started a petition. Hundreds of you signed and shared, and every single signature mattered! ❤️

Last night, I met with the assistant manager, and she confirmed that they will NOT be selling rabbits now or in the future!

This is why we must stand in the gap for animals who cannot speak for themselves. When we work together and involve our community, we CAN make a difference! And there’s more… we even discussed the possibility of hosting a rabbit adoption event there! 🥹❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who signed, shared, and stood with us. And, thank you to Family Farm and Home for listening to the community and choosing to do what’s best for the bunnies!

🚨 ATTENTION: THE BUNNIES ARE HIRING.

Apparently, running a rabbit rescue means working a full-time job, coming home to another full-time job, and somehow becoming a professional hay delivery service. 😂🐰

My rescue in Greensburg has a LOT of bunnies, and while these little freeloaders are absolutely loved, fed, watered, and cared for every single day… I could really use some help. ❤️

I’m looking for a few trustworthy, dependable people nearby who can help with daily hay and fresh water. That’s it!

Most visits should take less than an hour.

You don’t have to be a rabbit expert. I’ll teach you what you need to know.

Because the bunnies will always come first… but I’ve been coming in dead last, and I’m really feeling it.

I’m not asking anyone to take over the rescue. I just need a few amazing humans to help me carry a little of the load. ❤️

If you’re near Greensburg and could help — even one or two days a week — PLEASE message me. And if you can’t volunteer, PLEASE SHARE THIS.

Somewhere out there is a person who has been waiting their entire life for an excuse to spend an hour around a bunch of ridiculous, adorable bunnies.

I just need to find them.

Side effects of volunteering may include excessive bunny photos, hay on your clothes, and suddenly knowing the personalities of many little rabbits. 😂

First, thank you to everyone who stood with us on our recent post. Our mission has never been to win a popularity contest. It’s to put animal welfare first—even when that ruffles a few feathers.

We’ve seen the posts that so-called “meat rabbits” should be eaten to reduce the number of beloved bunnies in rescues.

We’re not here to argue in circles, but we do have one question: Who decided a Netherland Dwarf deserves more life than a Californian? The rabbits certainly didn’t get that memo.

Look into their little eyes. Get to know their personalities. They don’t know they’ve been assigned a label that supposedly makes their lives worth less. They’re just bunnies, each with their own quirks, fears, and capacity to trust and love.

We’ll agree to disagree without compromising our values. We’ll keep educating, keep rescuing, and keep advocating for the little lives that can’t speak for themselves.

Hey guys! We created this petition and need YOUR help to stop Family Farm & Home from breeding and selling rabbits at the Latrobe store! I started a petition because our local rescues (including us) are already overflowing with abandoned rabbits, and this would only make it worse. Please sign and share so we can protect our community's animals.

On top of owing $1,000 to our vet (which we absolutely need help funding for), I’m scheduling a few more appointments which includes Nugget’s leg amputation. He has been slowing down, not running up for attention as he usually does, and is laying down most times now. If any point we needed help with funds, it’s now. Even if EACH of you sent $1 we’d have plenty to cover Nuggets bill AND the outstanding balance at the vet.

Our bill at Donaldson Animal Hospital is $1,025.34 for the month of September. If you can help at all please do!
