Kayla Madison is a college student with a clear goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). As the niece of Melissa Montero, Executive Director of Collaboration Over Competition, Kayla has witnessed the organization’s growth into a powerful platform for empowering women. Inspired by her aunt’s leadership, she officially joined the initiative in 2025 as a Junior Board member. Kayla brings a fresh Gen-Z perspective, emphasizing the importance of women supporting women, particularly women of color. She is passionate about fostering unity and creating spaces where women from all backgrounds can connect, uplift one another, and thrive together.
Beyond her involvement in the organization, Kayla is committed to personal growth and academic excellence, traits that drive her determination to achieve her CPA certification and make a meaningful impact in her career. Her dedication to empowering women of color and promoting collaboration reflects her belief that when women unite, they can overcome barriers and create lasting change.
Jose Montero Jr. is a motivated, dependable, and hardworking young professional with a strong foundation in culinary arts, event operations, teamwork, leadership, and workplace safety. A graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and the Western Montgomery Career & Technology Center’s Culinary Arts Program, Jose has developed hands-on experience working in fast-paced, team-oriented environments where organization, communication, attention to detail, and reliability are essential.
Throughout his education and community involvement, Jose has demonstrated a commitment to personal growth, leadership, and perseverance. In 2025, he received the Trailblazer Award in recognition of his resilience and leadership, honoring his ability to persevere through challenges while continuing to move forward and positively contribute to those around him. He has also participated in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and SkillsUSA, earned multiple semesters of Honor Roll recognition, and received recognition through the White House State Dinner Project.
Beyond his professional and academic accomplishments, Jose is also a self-published author and an Authoring Our Future Award nominee, demonstrating his creativity, initiative, and determination to pursue opportunities beyond the traditional classroom.
Jose brings a resilient spirit, strong work ethic, leadership mindset, and willingness to learn to every opportunity. He is eager to continue developing professionally and build a meaningful and successful career.
