Stay cool friends

Due to a heat advisory, all city pools will only be open to residents and season pass holders from 12-7pm at no cost today and tomorrow, as capacity allows. Address verification is required.

We will continue monitoring the weather for the rest of the week. Stay hydrated and cool, especially older adults and young children. Hydration stations and shade areas will be available at each location.

Water Curtains: Available on Monday 7/8 and Tuesday 7/9 from 11-3pm, operated by the Allentown Fire Department.

Due to forecasted temperatures in the mid to high 90s and an extreme heat advisory in effect this week, the City of Allentown shares the following resources available to residents:

Pools: From Tuesday 6/18 to Friday 6/21, city pools will be open from 12-7pm to residents and season pass holders only as capacity allows, at no cost. ID required. Once we’ve reached capacity for the day(s), we will not allow any additional entry into the pools that day.

If someone is overcome by heat, move them to a cool, shaded spot. For heat strokes, heat-related, and other emergencies, please call 9-1-1.

We love updates, especially when it's a success story!

Meet Rob.
We met Rob just over a year ago, who came to us in need of some help. Rob's journey has not been easy. Since coming our way, Rob faced several trials and tribulations making his journey just a little more difficult than anyone would prefer. Rob never gave up, came to us for guidance, worked with us along side additional community partners and was able to get to where he is today.
Today, Rob is working, living independently, and even recently bought his own car!
Motivation and progress looks different every day and his dedication to himself made the biggest difference. We were just there to be a guide and cheer him on, helping where we can.

Rob visited us this week to share his recent success - he says, "because The Center is where my journey started".
