MontCo Kiwanis Children's Fund Our mission is to support the children within Montgomery County through resources, funding, education & service.

Working closely with the Kiwanis Clubs of Montgomery County we strive to make a lasting impact within the communities in which we serve.

Friendly reminders:
👉 squeeze as much air out of your bag as possible and try to tie it for us!!!
👉 pretzel & tortilla chip bags are plastic too!
👉 we would rather you fill our bins than fill the ones at the grocery store as every plastic in our bins goes toward that 500 lbs!
👉you can also reach out to a Kiwanian to have the plastic picked up!

Wow Kiwanis Club of Conshohocken came in strong with so many bags of bags! Thankfully we were finally able to get this all out of President Jen’s basement. Getting closer to our bench! Keep saving all the plastics you have & reach out to a Kiwanian to take them for you!

Temple University Hospital is home to nurses, doctors & support staff from all over our Kiwanis Region. We would like to thank those who are risking their lives to take care of our neighbors with some special gifts. Gifts will be given directly to the Covid Unit nurses 1st!

History

In the beginning of 2018, the Kiwanis Club of Norriton Circle (chartered 2015) was approached by the MCIU about starting a Lending Library for their Head Start and PreK Counts Programs. Knowing that the project would be large they reached out to nearby clubs for support. The Kiwanis Clubs of Conshohocken (chartered 2016), Valley Forge (chartered 2016), and Collegeville (chartered 2017) began working together on this initiative.

During this time these 4 young Kiwanis clubs realized that not having a foundation was becoming an obstacle to receiving and fundraising the money needed. That Lending Libraries committee took the first steps needed to starting the foundation.

Through the support of Kiwanis International, the Kiwanis Children’s Fund and the PA Kiwanis District the lending libraries committee was able to meet with the 12 Kiwanis clubs in Montgomery County to discuss the bylaws and policies as well as the next steps to forming the foundation.

On October 9, 2018 the MontCo Kiwanis Children’s Fund the bylaws for the Foundation were approved & submitted to Kiwanis International for acceptance.
